Iam not taking the p**s but to use a lab to retrieve at air gun shooting distance is a bit of over kill (no pun intended ) the labs i see work are used to collect dead or wounded game from 40 yards and up to as far away as a fallen or wounded bird can go fly run or swim and in my opinion its this type of work that they are bred for .I use a terrier to collect quarry when a shoot with an air rifle having said that yes labs are good (shotgun dogs ).seen all colours work well,i keep my dogs outside but if every one in the household sticks to your rules and don't spoil the dog then keep it indoo

TRAINING 20 mins every day during exercise and play with pup twice a day with one day off left in the kennel. WORKING most weekends on rabbits if the weathers ok + 3days a week during the season.atb

I like spaniels and i do like the look of that little dog + dam and the sire .as for a name no idea she could be a FLOW OR BONNY.What ever you call her i wish you luck a lots of hunting with her.

As much playtime as i can get away with dogs -shooting- ferrets-snares and traps going after bunnys woodys rats stoats foxes and then theres the so called work on the shoot which realy is more play with pens poults incubators brashing fences realy i don't have time to go to work but the boss says if i dont then i get no money in to live role on retirement. -
I use a 22lr the most for vermin control so i bought a sako long lasting quality and if you don't use a scope the iron sights are spot on straight out of the box + and if you were to sell they seem to keep their value mind you thats only my opinion .

COULD be at that age when she is testing you to see who's top dog go back to basics + if she knows what a comand is and dos'nt do it then don't give it again enforce it if its sit and she moves get hold of her take her back to where you want her to sit and sit her down in that spot keep doing it until she responds. plus sometimes no eye contact no chatter only praise when she does good try and nip it in the bud or she will challenge you all the time i've got one like that and shes now 10 years old this is only my take on things hope it helps atb.

bought 5 accu-feeders(the spinner and motor only) last year for our shoot fixed them to large hoppers and set them up for test and seem to work ok now when on the shoot 3 out of the 5 dummped the feed over one week so as we had no time to fanny on with them we disconnected the batterys and left them alone until the end of the season as we are going to collect them this week end we have rememberd the problem so it dosn't seem to be the timer as we had already tested them we are scatching our heads to work out whats gone wrong with them one lad thinks it could be the wind spinning the disc or t

THE final bag was 28%partridge and 55% pheasant. Average = 41% in the end a good result for our shoot. -
let the pup run about keep an eye on it but don't interact with it pretend to ignore it. When its is on the move not sniffing at some thing thats of interest to it call it in as the pup looks to you turn and slow motion to run away from it let it catch you up and then you turn to it go down on the ground to the pups level use i higher pitch in your voice and welcome the pup in to you DONT TRY AND GET HOLD OF IT OR PAT IT LET THE PUP JUMP ON YOU LOOKING FOR ATTENTION AND THEN WRESTLE WITH IT STROKE IT PLAY WITH IT THATS WHAT YOU WANT TO GET OVER TO THE PUP ITS A FUN GAME TO COME RUNNING BACK T

not much of a dog trainer myself but it does seem that you will have to go back to basics recall and use a cold rabbit for retrievs she just could be to young and needs to have more confidense inyou.
