Yeah I know what yer all saying,if a fella had to go,I dont think you'd have time for the first year or two to do anything but get established in work and save some coin.The thing with going is,would you leave not only the dogs etc behind but your whole family too.Its just a topic I thought might be interesting to have.Im afraid my age is against me and I dont think I fit the criteria they seek.I know it sounds like heaven with all the game species there but would you fit in with the locals,would they want you around being of different cultures etc.The thing with me is I was never outside of

I was listening to the radio this morning and they were saying on it that New Zeland were hoping to recruit many thousands of trades people to reconstruct the towns damaged by the volcanos there.I was thinking,would the members on here be willing to pack up their hobby/dogs/ferrets and go work for a few years.I asked myself that today and after the last 34 years never being without a dog its a hard one to answer,but the way things are going and no hope of employment for the future in Ireland my thoughts are swaying a little towards the possibility of travelling.It wouldnt be an issue for me

very enjoyable read,Postie was he a 1st x?some big dog for that X.Stroller thats a lovely animal,great condition.I have to do more work next season with taz,the more she gets the more she wants.Theres another drawback with Taz,she doesnt like water.No hope of retrieving from a river or lake.

I stayed in Irishlurchers home 2 weeks ago and he plied me with wine,2 bottles and Im ashamed to say my speech went to Gibberish I cant hold my drink,3-4 pints im snookered.I make it my buisness now not to drink with others cause im a lightweight in that department.I drink 1-2 tins of budweisser most nights while siting here reading topics.Other than that I prefer not to make a tool of myself so dont drink much.

Jaysus tomo thats some serious rabbit catching,same shape as my bitch too.Must have cost a fortune in nails,lol.just reading my own comments back and it sounds a right load of shite If Taz was in some other dog mens hands they might not be impressed at all but I really enjoy her and thats what matters,Scent I dont bother with fox much unless asked to.I had many an oppertunity to shoot em and run em and decided not to bother but you never know some day I just might loose the run of meself and go for it,lol.

Thanks Mag,I never thought of her as being a thing of beauty but shes my favourite companion as shes an all round bizzy body,looking and checking constantly.She knows what to do in all situations,and she never runs in on a shot.Ive watched her look at a rabbit hoping about the field after a head shot and not budge till I give her the ok,shes spoted goats and just sits till I get there,then waits till the shot and looks at me for the nod,shes even tracked deer when out with a mate.I never broke her to the gun but nothing fases her,from a 22 to a 22/250.First time she ever saw a shotty she was 9

my bitch has two faults in my eyes,shes a useless guard dog and not at all interested in feathered game.Shes literally walked up on top of pheasants and would watch them fly off when they'd be easily in her grasp if she tried for them.But other than that shes a respectable yoke.
