I have a lash of timber to split and was looking at youtube and saw a bloke sharpening an axe,now he was using a stone.I always thought a file was the tool for the job,but after a bit he was able to cut slivers of paper with the axe,he even shaved the hairs off his arm with it.i was gobsmacked to say the least.is it necessary and beneficial to have an axe this sharp,this thing was scary sharp and is it possible to get an axe bought in a shop of common steel to this degree of fearsome sharpness.theres one to get ye thinking ,answers on an envelope to...........................

right,my thinking is...........I would like to take advantage of a piece of good luck,that being 2 wild sheep that have been hanging around for at least 4 months if not longer.I want to stick these lads in the house freezer as opposed to the dog freezer,and enjoy the fruits of my labour mutton for months,lol.The one thing I am wondering about is you are expected to hang a carcass for a certain time in a cold room,so if I shove it straight in the freezer how long should it take to get the best taste from it for the table or does that matter at all.oldred this farmer couldnt harm a fly,he would

paid theyre about almost 4 months now as far as I know,no ear tags j3,thats the first thing I looked for.Stig I have plenty of room in the freezer mate,just want to be sure i wont die of the plague from eating them,saying that the goats are in a dire condition at times and ive survived that.

As I mentioned on the latest goat post,theres 2 sheep wandering about for a few months and no ones laying claim to them.The farmer is encouraging me to shoot them,they are on his land but i still think I could possibly get into hot water from doing so.If I did take them down,heres my questions, 1: if I head shoot them and then bleed them out would the meat be ok for eating.? 2: would you think they might be carrying anything that could cause harm to the consumer of said meat? 3: since I dont have a cold room or fridge big enough to hang them in,would the meat be ok to hang for a day or so(d

skycat theyve been there since the 30's.Willy the farm owner was born in the 40's and he remembers his father after them and cursing them then too,lol.They are now after becoming a challenge to get a shot,if they hear a twig snap or get wind of you or see you from a long distance they are gone like the clappers.For the last few months theres 2 ferral sheep after turning up,by ferrall I mean theyre hanging about and after asking no one knows how they got there,or who could own them.There arent any sheep for miles,1 farmer told me cull them as their wool is seriously over grown and they haven't

I apologise...........i cant help it.I was at work this week and today just at the end of the job(2.30 p.m.)I recieved a phone call,''them goats are here again'' said the voice,ok willy i said I'll get out in the morning,fine says he.So a few small jobs to do and im thinking .............WISH I WAS OUT ON THE HILLS i finished the job at 3 o clock and made a snap decision,fuk it i'll take a trip out.Off home to get the gun and taz the kelpie x,cleared the van and off away with us.Driving like a mad man as darkness falls at 6 .45 so not much time.I reach the farm at 4. 25 and on the way up the
