I have a 14 month old 3/4 saluki here and while young I introduced him to sheep from 4 months old and upwards on many occasions,The farmer is a personal friend of mine that we dig for and shoot on his land, ive even worked for him and sat having dinner with him on numerous occasions,I go every year with the dogs to his sheep farm for an annual top up as I call it,walk the lurchers through the sheep and lambs and thankfully Ive never had a problem,.............exceept for this young dog.I have tried to exhaustion to break him to the sheep but I must admit Ive failed. He was a ball breaker to de

and they sure leave their mark on you,.sad to see the end of a good dog,and at times id swear NEVER AGAIN will we have a pet.''if they dont work they dont stay'' was my motto, but some dogs just have a way of worming their way into your life lol.
thanks folk,i have to think im the lucky one for getting him,the minute he stepped inside the door he made himself right at home, never was strange with any of us from day one,we walk our local beaches and parks and to see the fukin idiots panic and run the other way and i have even had folk approach me and demand i tie him up,these breed of dogs are so demonised its sad.I have a neighbour that has a pure pit bitch looking for the dog to cover her but ive put him off, besides being a big oul softie,I cant see a reason for him to have another litter on the for sale section of the local paper, ther
well I was sitting watching the tv during the week and in an ad break I looked over at the son and the dog clung together as they usually do and the thought entered my head how both had grown up together, and still devoted to each other.I remember in 2006 I got a phone call to drop down to a mate that needed a dog removed from his property.I arrived and saw a fine example of a bulldog settled in asleep on the sofa,I asked where the dog was that needed attention and he pointed to what I thought was his ''house pet''.I enquired as to why he needed the dog removed and he said he just didnt want hi
i see the 3/4 reverse bull types, and scratch my head, why the hell would ye want one, beyond me.If ye need a pulling dog why not get a wheaten and help re establish the breed,or something of similar ilk,and you cant say they are inconspicious in the field cause most of the 3/4 bred bulls look like racey pits to me.Ive had 2 over the years and wont be having another, they are of limited use to me,some i must admit with just a smidgen of bull look class and no doubt are gutsy animals.
I buy the coats at the greyhound track and they are grand after a day out in the real cold days,i cover em up if theyve been running hard, help em recover better, just never saw the type i put up on here and was wondering how good or bad they were,
exactly neil, left them in the middle of a forestry to rot,i was disgusted when I heard it,i shot roughly 20-40 every year, depending on the complaints, the first 2 years i shot almost each year and there was always a few to be culled, now their wiped out almost.....,terrible waste.
