have to say its my 1st time in a few years ive been to Birr and I thoroughly enjoyed the day,so much so I didnt leave till after 6 p.m.My son and I had a good ole snoop around the stalls and we met some old friends and made one or 2 new friends,Very enjoyable day, -

heres my boast,Pat short is my mates x college buddy.they were studying the arts together,well I dropped in to my mates house for a visit and pat was there,I was invited to go on the lash with them,but seeing as I couldnt drink soup I declined.they went to the local pub on friday night and finished up on sunday morning,pat likes his drink so he does lol.hes as mad in real as he is on stage,right jolly fecker.

I cant find them gnipper,been out a few days,no sign at all of them.they must be high on the hill in the forestry,landowners are ecstatic they are gone lol

yeah,fingers x'ed we'll go good.I have 2 young dogs to bring on and see what they can manage,if the worst case scenario comes into affect and he cant run his game I will retire him to a life of leisure here.

thanks gem,i will look into this aspect of the dog work.I dont have a whole lot of interest in that type of work and I do dislike the dog to be honest but the daughter is besotted with him,so I just got to smile and bear it lol

hes looking great Ross,hes healed so well you can hardly see the scar,i have to say the vet was excellent and very reasonable price wise too,I will know this winter how he runs when we get him chasing,i have high hopes he will be back to his usual self.

thanks casso,i will look in to this aspect of work for the shepherd,since the daughter is only 4 feet 11 tall and is as light as a feather I dont think she will be suitable for the tug of war games lol.

casso I never let him near anyone at all,I never thought of it that way either,makes sense,but after hes started with shake rattle and roll destressing,whats the chances his excitement/temper might over run his logical thinking(can dogs think logically)and he turn on the nearest person to him,or would it have the opposite effect and relax him.As I said its my daughter that has full run of him,I just feed him and drive him and her out for a swim runabout etc.I was thinking of bringing him to a dog trainer to see what he reckons,a schutzhund class possibly.All Im after is a big scary mutt to kee

thats my thinking always,never allow it and it doesnt become a built up hatred towards each other,i had it years ago with 2 terriers,they hated the sight of each other all their lives,i had to make sure they never even saw each other.2 superb workers also which is why I put up with the problem.
