Your going to snap-off,some BIG fish in those waters,biggest I heard was a brit angler called Joe Taylor?I think he got a 600lb or thereabouts arapaima,your getting lots of big fish over the course of a session,a number of 30-40lb'ers with bigger cats thrown in to the mix.

Just watched the full clip,makes sickening viewing,I have heard in a few far-eastern countries if a driver knocks someone over they often try and make sure the victim is dead to avoid costly hospital bills etc,I know an uninsured guy in who knocked down and killed a pensioner,ended up paying the family reparation and footing the funeral bill.

I wonder if that wonder-fly would suffice for carp?I have top carp lakes on the doorstep,Thorpe-lea,Twynersh,Wraysbury etc,but alas no anadromous rivers,the Thames doesnt cut the mustard.

Been to China often,met good and bad people,remember china is massive,it used to fall into five different time zones,most people I met from Uigurs to Han were decent enough once you took time to chat to them,I first went when an "Alien travel permit" was needed to visit sensitive regions,still got my permit as a souvenir,times and people are changing,though I do remember a chinese copper in Xinjiang tapping his stun-gun on my table,sparking it and laughing just to try and get a reaction.
