  1. Sounds good Nog,poole harbour, not far at all, whats the bass situation like down there, many about
  2. Chess, chess, chess my little butter-bean,whats assumption the mother of?I explained this once, the "Parachute" was/is a cock-up in the packing department,a total shambles on their part, but Guess what?I dont REALLY want to tell you this old chum, but remember the other three saltawter fly-rods? Your NOT going to believe this and I aint going to name-and-shame the company concerned but well,JOE received another three "parachutes" yesterday
  3. You were in Frankland Sprags
  4. You should try living in my house then, the kids can swim like otters and are growing f***ing gills Good job we start the bass and salmon next month
  5. Remember the Quid bet, thats most important We dont have a fishing place as such, just a good number of lakes and ponds whose owners are decent enough to allow us to fish whenever we want, normally after dark as I cant abide fishing with large numbers of other guests on a water, but we are lucky enough to have one place where I KNOW we could get quadruple figures in a night, and would make a f***ing hysterical photograph but then what? What do you do with 1000 fish?
  6. Fish, that stretch your mentioning isnt your old favourite at the back of Tesco is it?Some big brownies in there
  7. If they are on your doorstep, and you have permission to fish them(as we always do) then why not visit them one night? We would even come up,we can have our fishing match there, winner gets a quid, your bound to win as most matches favour the home team
  8. There are people in London feeding them already on some of the commons or even in the parks,I saw a news report on an old ladies "Tame" foxes last year sometime.
  9. That was the thing about Caithness back then LD,you COULD guarantee numbers, whether dogging, ferreting, netting whatever,I used to go there several times a winter, never had a dog knocked up so maybe I was lucky, but the numbers were always there and seemed never to diminish,we got 800+ one week, back there three months later working the same ground it was like we handt even scratched the surface, the place was heaving I wonder what its like nowadays
  10. We never did it for cash Tommo,we just did it because where else could you catch rabbits 24/7?That was the attraction,I wouldnt have made that journey for 20 bunnies a night on the beam,we could get that around the doors,I just think what really made those trips special was the chance to take phenomenal bags and really see the dogs tested
  11. I have seen the one your on about name, but they dont work on all cameras,I used to have one for my old 35mm
  12. As you said Chalky,Caithness was the mecca because of the VAST amount of quarry,I have a cousin farms a croft west of Thurso, her husband shoots rabbits from the kitchen window But back in the hey-day of the far north every man and his dog headed up the A9 ASSURED of some excellent sport,it was impossible to blank,I even remember slipping the dog on a rabbit and it grabbed a roe which appeared from some gorse Incredible times, will mark be able to replicate them for visitors?Who knows, but he is brave enough to attempt it so good luck with his venture
  13. Your better off Phoning Jessops Dogga,I have two digital cameras both were supplied with remote controls specific to the model, there might be a universal one like the universal remote-controls you get for household appliances, but Jessops would know better than me mate
  14. Yeah mate, eaten a few,I have had the curly european and latin american ones, and I even had some smooth-straight,and silky ones in asia No curl to them whatsoever
  15. why do you think you know it mackem,h Yeah Mark, its names Rachel,I am sure I met it in a pub in Chester-le-street once Sorry about that,I had an extra sugar in my coffee, does me no good at all I have seen similar beats on the Tyne,Tees, and wear, but I am up in the north-east soon, just having a plodge around some waters, just naturally curious I guess, sorry about being facetious,I am a tw*t sometimes
  16. Get yourself a mini-tripod and remote control Dogga,the tripod was £3

  20. Looks great gav apart from one thing......................GREY SKIES
  21. Bad luck,we fished a place a few weeks ago, fished for maybe 30 minutes and got 57,odd place right in the middle of thick woodland, only accessible by walking half a mile down a dirt track,JOE kept saying lets get 100 just for a picture but to be honest we struggled carrying what we did catch, its the sort of venue if you fished for a couple of hours you could come away with several hundred but I just dont have freezer space, especially not with the salmon season coming up What sort of general area did you visit tonight?
  22. Ignore him Will, remember what your mum tells you, dont talk to strange men

    what lube.

A gobbet of phlegm should do the trick, but I never needed artificial lube,I just took my time, its like a meal, always eat your starter slowly, gives the main course time to cook thoroughly
