similar thing happened a few year ago in jasper county down south in america.however it wasnt a dog they dragged down the road and it was no accident either. i couldnt read that post mate without putting on a boss hog accent i remember it craigy,jasper county i thought wtf,and the sherrif was a fat guy with a white stetson,who was later accused of being in the klan.

Could be a proper crank at times & i saw him jack a race at Catford in the Boxing Day Marathon. Amazing dog when he wanted to run, theres been nothing quite like him since. totally agree mate that dog was a freak of nature 100% unique.

had 3 of my dogs in the same final one night at coatbridge lol that was a good turn.got a trophy and my dad handed the trophy to some wee kid that was standing there. "cant eat f*****g trophys" was what he said lol

thornton was a great wee track mate.never had a dog on the handicap there,but atttended a cpl of betting trials.thats where the pitmans was held wasnt it?wallyford was another good wee flapping track.just reading and posting in this thread has brought back some fond memories.yup scarceness of bookies was another reason to call time on it.spent months holding a dog back and getting a good spot in the handicap,only to be f****d by shabby bookies not taking a bet. still got all my racing haps(jackets) and muzzles in the loft.even got mentioned twice in the greyhound star paper.for a youngster

been to spennymoor once eh the guy i knew from ther was a guy called brian f**k cant rember his name.big guy kept a few dogs.wish icould remember his second name.that will annoy me all night.mostly ran at tracks up my way unless it was an open race.ashfield,coatbridge falkirk thorntonin fife and carfin.i honestly miss those days.if the owners of the flapping tracks were honest id prob never have given it up.that and my dad dying aswell. sure that brian guys second name started with an M f**k thats sooo annoying YAY GOT IT METCALFE WAS HIS NAME im the worst at picking a win
