The AA's are very easy to work on Andy If I remember it was a blown cylinder ? Davy got a replacement cylinder from erm.... A&M custom (I think) he even put up a couple of vids on how to change them. Aparently they are quality smiths that get thing done quickly and at a very reasonable price Need any help in future, drop me a PM Phantom

Why let a gunsmith charge you 30 quid for a drop of threadlock? Or more a new trigger unit, if he can get away with it? The op seems to know how to set the trigger to just how he wants it, so trying a touch of thread lock is a logical next step? He also apears to know how to fit an entire new unit himself, so it would seem he's got common sense and the brains to be able to carry out such a proceedure. Okay if the thread lock fails, he would notice after a few shots given his earlier statement, so then I'd advise a new trigger mech. Phantom -

Hare's again, gone tomorrow Yep I would and I've voted. It may be a 'Gray Area' with airguns but there is no legal restraints on it other than shooting them on Christmas Day. Hunting / killing them with dogs as far as I am aware is certainly illegal?, wheather we agree with it or not. Also there is no 'closed' or 'open' season on them. It is however Illegal to "Sell" them between March and July which is their breeding season. But you can still carry on killing them despite them being on a 'red list' of endangered animals. I believe that they will eventually be protected by law;

Hey guy's. Took the last frozen bunny out the freezer for the kits last night and realizing it was the last one I need to go get some more So in the wet stuff I made my way to the easy pickings of the Cemetery. First job was to make sure that the gun was zeroed Reason being is I had done some work on her the other day and when fitting the scope, I forgot to finger tighten the mounts and from standing the scope fell off the gun and landed on my bare toes causing me to shriek and lift my foot up thus making the scope airborn once more and landing on the objective lense side. Hello Pianoman, Welcome to the forum. I would suggest that you set the screw to your required setting then place some thread lock on the screw to prevent it working loose again. Phantom

For removing the blockage? Place barrel in a vice on bench (protect the barrel from the jaws of vice with paper or cloth) then use a length of 5mm wood dowl and tap the blockage out with gentle taps from a rubber/wooden mallet. To prevent it happening again, make sure there is enough air in the cylinder to push the pellet all the way out and towards its target; finally stop double loading. You got the multifunction bulb with the torch? I thought they were "optional xtra's" mine is a straight on/off job. The strobe will be a pain when lamping, flash of white and their off Contact the seller and tell him you didn't realize it was multi-function and could you exchange the bulb for a single funtion one. If you do it nicely, you'll possibly wind up with a free bulb and still keep that one. Phantom

Nice going Davy Nowt like seeing results as sweet as those after a little surgery in the shed Must admit, it does seem a long way around to change the cylinder though. To change mine all I have to do it remove the silencer and unscrew the cylinder and slide it out of the stock. Like the HW100. Still nive to know I have a S410 Surgen to guide me when I eventually get me one of those Is that the one thats in the local city centre? It has no problem lighting up the entire cemetery or the paddock from on end to the other (and the far end is already illuminated by the street lights on the A63) so probably 100+ yards Phantom
