there’s chinese places here near the uni aswell couldn’t speak to you can’t read the menu come out with bat and dog cantonese style lol

that’s handy to have mate splatter can be caused by all sorts normally power wire feed or arc is to long your looking for nice even penetration you do push the weld on thick material mate but thin stuff you pull it let’s you control the heat then real thin you will have to stitch weld at times on off power then keep moving about until it’s all filled in you don’t need a pedal mate you can control it with the torch most inverter tigs are2t and 4t now so you can pulse it or have it full power for big runs on thicker stuff and material get one bought mate it can get addictive

i doubt a lot use any masks mate hot sweaty and things in the way you have to remember some gases are heavier then air so in confined spaces you need to vent accordingly

ive got a few bits to do in this next month a few tanks and air filter housings on some crossers out aluminium i’ll put a few bits up when i’m doing it won’t need x raying it isn’t pass after pass on an inch thick tube but tig welding aluminium isn’t welding aye lol

ye mate easy on any metal a few mm thick the rod has a flux that keeps any contaminates out the weld easy to learn really loads be on youtube when he gets as good as borr his slag will peel itself lol

same nephew his first wall plastered again not the best but descent for a baine then me useless full a shit liar lol from fixing trucks to plastering i always liked to learn new things only thing i struggle with couldn’t get quickish is laying bricks give up lol and painting cutting in has me aswell years of it still no better plumbing fitting kitchen plastering im there lol

i’m not saying borr ain’t levels above me lol i’ve been around excellent welders much better than i am or ever will be all day very day some are masters lol the r tech and jasic are very good chinese inverters

this is me 14 year old nephew after 30 mins on scrap with a cheap chinese inverter on a sprinter roof which is thin tin lol not perfect but sound

it’s the man holding the torch not the machine lol i’ve first started welding at about 11 you plum lol did me apprentaship hgv technician trucks and trailers with me brother in law in charge of the welding and fabrication shop next door we’re id go help regular steel aluminium and stainless lol and welding a transit wheel arch is harder then welding thick stuff by a country mile lol just because your a duck egg doesn’t mean we all are mate lol

get years no hassle from chinese inverters the ac/dc tig i have been good 5 year not a hiccup i admit i’m not welding all day everyday but there sound the r tech is chinese they have gas they ain’t the shit clarke gas no gas that cheap mig i got does it for you makes it as simple as can be really surprised me

this even has a euro type torch when my descent mig broke i got this much better then the old mig you can stick and tig dc aswell but i have an/dc tig so don’t use it much for that i got 200 amp this make

you don’t need to spend that money borr on a r tech there good but not needed

start him with a cheap chinese mig inverter francie soon pic it up you can stick weld as well with most migs easy now no wire feed just set amps and the rest is done for you
