If every terrierman was able to keep their dogs in that sort of condition, me included, we'd all be a shinning example of how it should be done. Type of dog, spot on, condition, even more so, i'm jealous B

Accuracy International AW .308
Bootsha replied to David B Allen's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
The 308 is fine but when you start to extend the range to 1000 yards plus the 308 makes the transition from supersonic to subsonic not the best situation for ultimate accuracy the bigger guns have the edge at distance as they stay supersonic longer and have better ballistics from heavier bullets with better ballistic coefficients. Note I am not suggesting you would shoot game at these ranges. Fair comment Dan, I have never shot at these sort of distances that you are reffering to, but I can see the point your making, and it's a valid one. This must be one of the first threads I h -
A mate of mine had a terrier once, lost all its hair almost overnight. No scratching same as yours, he treated his dog with sudocrem ( babys arse/nappy rash cream) antiseptic, healing cream with a hint of lavender oil or something in it, he said it seemed to help his bitch, although she looked a bit odd for a while, but she smelled lovely !! hope it helps

Accuracy International AW .308
Bootsha replied to David B Allen's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
What land mammal is there residing in the British Isles that a .308 wont deal with ? I have not done anywhere near as much stalking as most on here, and my knowledge of various loads, powders, bullet size / weights, fast burn powder/ slow burn powder that many on here posses is negligable, but, .308 calibre has done me for a number of years, and "done" quite a number of larger species. Just my thought on bigger calibre's etc. Regards B -
Accuracy International AW .308
Bootsha replied to David B Allen's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Hi Dave A friend of mine is a police officer, and a meber of the tactical firearms squad and an instructor on the ranges, he's been in all his life and has a wealth of practical hands on experience of all sorts of rifles handguns etc, I wont go into more detail about him or what he does. We were discussing various calibres and makes one evening over a glass of highland spring water , He told me that his force recently started using these AI rifles. He told me that he has never used such a consistently accurate and proffesionally built bit of kit in all his years service. I dont know wha -
Recently bought this off ebay. Its reasonably priced, delivered quickly, smells really pleasant, and looks radio active in the container !!lol. Not my advert or anything to do with me, just thought a bit of info sharing wouldn't go amiss on THL. I THINK this is the link to it, but it's the item number anyway. Cheers B. How the f**k is this animal not been snapped up by someone ??, wait till Sept and they'll be queuing up for him no doubt. If I was looking for a dog friend, he'd be in my yard now and the thread removed, end of. Best of luck with it ( I still reckon you should keep him tho) B

You ought to send that in to EDRD mate, that would be a cracking front cover picture, i'm sure the editor would love it. B

I dont think you were out of order at all mate, for that sort of sum i'd expect some sort of contact details with the seller, the fact that he's taken a shitty and said this sale is terminated may have done you a favour in the long term, befor you get stung. I have to speak as I find, I have sold stuff to members off this site and I have found everyone, bar none, to be totally trustworthy and up front, even if they might not have had the funds to pay up frontfor the goods, I have sent them and the funds have come through straight away, without exception. The first time i get shit on, will be

I'm not much into rough coated mate, but trust me when i tell you, that is an outstanding young dog, a credit to you. I reckon you should seriously consider keeping him, he is a beauty, no shit. Regards B

Rats and squirrells (once he's changed his teeth), show him all sorts of work, learn him his manners , hold him back till he's 16 to 18 months so he's mentally mature as well as physically and let him have a look. best of luck to you.

Good for you kiddo, now you've started keep at it, you've got a whole lifetime in front of you to enjoy what you do. Good luck and well done .
