  4. just a reminder we'll be trying the lurcher racing tommorow night (9th May) for the 1st time, if theres enough interest we'll keep them going every week through the summertime. come on lads whats better getting out and giving your dogs a run and having a laugh or sitting at home watching emerdale with the mrs? and just think your dogs will have the advantage at game fairs in the lurecher racing over dogs that havnt had and schooling/fitness training.

  8. Another great days racing at the Lancashire, a few new faces again including 2 lurchers who are interested in running any breed meetings on a Wednesday or Thursday evening so were looking into putting that on for them. Unfortunatly no pictures this week as Julie & Paul had to attend a show to return a trophy that Evie won the previous year. all the pups are coming along well Lesley & Andys Cain had his 1st go today behind the lure over 20yds as he's jusat turned 6 moths, he's chasing very well and is very reluctant to give the lure up once he's caught it. Geordies bitch had

Cheers mate Her father Whippet Club Racing Champion Fine & Dandy couldnt win a club race till he was 18 months old then he won vertualy everything over the next four years. he's won 11 Championship Finals (made I think 15 in all) was the top dog in the UK for 4 years. His pups seem to be following in his patern of running so fingers crossed she'll make up into a nice bitch. her 1/2 sister Parkstone True Blue now 3 (same father) has been a realy good bitch winning 3 Open Race supream finals and making loads of open race finals and winning many club main finals
  14. Cheers Jeff, it took Mo (Parkstone Sweet Ebony) a while to get into her stride but knowing the dog line she's from it's normal for them to be around 16-18 months old till they realy knuckle down and get on with the job in hand, she's just 15 months and is only 5 weeks out of season so there should be some more left in the tank yet. (I HOPE) OK Here are a few pictures from Yesterday. 15. i'd always fed compleat food to our dogs (Lurchers, Greyhounds, Whippets) around 6 months ago we changed the whippets over to raw meat (Beef/Tripe) raw blended veg and pasta/rice, with a little calcium powder & Faramo Greyhound (multi vitamins). Their coats improved their mannorisms improved they seemed more sensible and responsive but their form sreopped off and they seemed to be struggling in their races. 2 weeks ago we changed back to red mills racer and within 6 days they had regained their previous form and now are back to their old selves. the food is the only differance the
  16. I must start todays report by congratulating Patrick and Shauna on their fantastic news that Shauna is expecting a baby. In the interest of safety the officials decided to change the bend to a straight over 140yds @ 1/2 yd/lb. Racers were met with bright blue skys but later in the day we encounterd a little light rain. Nice to see a few more new faces to the club. 13 dog racing and 5 trialing today. Parkstone Sweet Ebony seems to have realy found her feet now winning 2 main finals on the bounce and is looking next week to make it the treble but the big question is will the
  17. if it goes even when you just dip the cltch slightly it Sounds like it could be a warn thrust bearing in the clutch/gearbox.
  18. hi mate you can either buy calcium from a pet shop called STRESS powder or you can buy it from a horse shop Dicalcium phophate it's a lot cheaperr from the horse shops but they normaly only sell it in big tubs and youll only need a small one so your best of trying your local pet shop. once the bitch has had the pups keep giving it her till the pups are weaned off her. any pics of mum and day?
  19. We always give a little calcium powder and multi vitamins on their main feed, to help make sure the bitch has plenty of calcium in her body for when she starts feeding the pups. we also up their food by about 1/2 the last 3 weeks as well. Good luck with the pups, Borders are cracking dogs. will they be KC registerd ect.
  20. Met the little pup the other day he's a cracker, very sturdy and very bold. good luck with him.
  21. Aludex from a vet is good or DEBAC M from the chemist often works well to.

  24. Due to the excelant ground conditions we decided to run another 240yds Bend. The weather was fantastic for todays meeting, with everyone in T shirts (maybe we will have a summer after all) 11 dogs racing and 13 trialling today. Nice to see Jill with her very fast little bitch who unfortunatly kept over shooting the bend as she was traveling so fast. Nice to welcome Naomie's freind with her show bred pup from Jax. A big thank you to Josh who re threaded the lure for us again. The star of the day had to be Paul and Julies YORKSHIRE MIST (formaly known as Evie) who continues
