    always been interested in these dogs specially for fox pre ban bet they cen shift? probably a daft question how fast are they compared to a greyhound or average lurcher we used to use a pure greyhound on foxes preban and the dog got up to them in no time they dint stand much of a chance.

    this, piture how the runner works withe mesh sliding between the two this pic shows how the piece of andle fits to the angle iron runner hope these help a bit to understand how iv done it. and the date of the camera is wrong lol.

    ill kick him round the field lol. john its hard to explain with out a picture. my trap is made out of angel iron and mesh. its a gillatine type i drilled a hole in the angle runners and cut another piece of angle iron about 6 inch long and drilled a hole through that as well so it would just sit millimeters above the door when it was shut then i had to cut a notch out of the 6 inch length and put a bolt and washer with a nylon nut on the end through the holes that i had drilled a bit earlier but left it lose. the mechnism is on the inside of the runner so when the door drops the mechnism j

    well i posted on here a while back asking for advice on making a fox trap after it had been in my game hens and i didnt get a reply anyway we got some chickens few month later another one went in and killed the lot they were my dads so he helped me build a trap he welded it all i had it sett for about 2 week and i caught a vixen in it then i sett it again. few days later when i checked the trap the door had been triggerd but no fox which was odd the traps long enough so the fox is well in when it takes the bait and the door drops fast and theres a locking mechnism so the fox carnt lift

    if you mean 23foxes in a season with any type of dog that aint hard but can see were your coming from if you mean whos does it with a saluki cross i mainly go for rabbits and foxes preban im going for a wheaton greyhound next.

    use my hand also usedone of them elctroni boxes with the remote its loud brings them in from a long way out but they seem to stop at a distance always wanted to try one of them whistling with foxes ones that the australian guy uses..

    400 foxes hes talking crap unless he got shitload of permission or its lifting with them id say i dont believe much off what people tell me when its to do with hunting or shooting take it with a pinch of salt.

    sorry to say i have to agree with bert trhey are vermin if there hunting gamebirds or song birds collar or no collar they will be dealt with what would happen if your dog was running lose killing peoples pet cats youd have to answer to the law so they should keep there cats undercontrol.

    yeah thats what i find aswell mate with the ones iv seen work wonder what a 3/4 hound 1/4wheaton would be like. my mates was an early starter but heard of a few other people there have took a while to mature.

    this is the dog these are old pics he bred it to a greyhound bitch and got some handy lurchers. he was only young in the first picture.

    my mate has also got a wheaten bred buy tom parr about 4 or 5 years old thinks its something in the pedigree saying the gingerbread man and its one game dog dont make a sound in hole ends trhats also decent at working cover with plenty of drive but gotta watch it abit round other dogs.

    wheaton xs can do the job no problem but theres good and bad in all breeds.

    do farmers welcome you on the land to hunt? or can you hunt of the road side?
