  11. I've done the odd bit of snaring, rabbits mainly ?
  12. Also in wildlife section. I've had newts in a small pond in my garden for as long as I can remember, they hibernate behind my shed in the pile of hedge cuttings that built up over years. The problem is I now need to knock the shed down and clear all the cuttings out. If I disturb the newts will they be ok if I move them out the way to a safer place or will they die if disturbed in hibernation? They are palmate newts not great crested.

  15. As deker said they are a mild version of shrimps/prawns without the sea taste,if you like prawns I would say you would like these. Deker I've had them out of a carp syndicate lake and also out of a flowing brook,I'll be honest they do taste the same. I don't purge mine I just remove the middle fin and all the guts come out. Cooking wise I just boil for 5 mins then dip them in sweet chilli or thousand island sauce....lip smacking good ?
  16. Nice haul there mate? Agree they are a lot of work for a small return. Only catch a few at a time when I fancy some,so not to bad really.
  17. Didn't purge them, just twisted middle tail fin and the guts come out with it.
