call round to local farms.....without your gun and dressing up like rambo!!!!!!!! introduce yourself and offer to help!!!!!!!!!! permissions are getting harder and harder to obtain........all maltenby was saying is that nobody is going to offer a permission on a plate, we all want them and aren't going to give em away. put in the hard work and it will hopefully pay off for you. good luck mate regards sean

sorry folks this sorry is not on the net......so i will add a little more info here: this case is in court at the moment! the man being prosecuted has said in court that " he feared for his life" when they where lamping 100yds away from his house!?!?!? strange that he also runs an environmetaly freindly business!! they where in their discovery and he marched up to it and took their gun whilst hurling a barrage of fowl language at them, he also came back and took their mobile phone!!! there was three of them in the discovery only young lads 21,16 and undisclosed. the 21 year

story in our local paper..............................couple of blokes out shooting foxes ( one of them being the land owner).....anyway, it was dark and this anti grabbed their gun and ammo ( fac). so they couldn't shoot anymore. the two men in question had the good sense to call the police!!! the police are charging the anti...........................with,and this is the good bit!!!!!! possesion of a firearm without a certificate.................sweet!!!!! looking at a 5 stretch minimum i beleive!!!! justice and common sense from the local constabulary!!!!! will t

we have a few on one of our permissions.............and the farmer loves em.............easy to tell the difference in daylight..................but when your lamping.....and they sit with their ears down, its hard to tell the difference....!! the way we find out is to walk towards them.......you can usually get to within 10/15 yds of a hare until it runs of slowly....................rabbits 20/25 yards and then boy do they run!!!! personaly.....wouldn't want to shoot hares ( getting soft in my old age) cheers sean

nice one mate....................we used to and still do occaisionaly....tread for flattys( called flooks) in the estuary channel at low tide......they lie just under the sand and the trick is to stand on their tails a finger in the gills and threw em out onto the sand.........used to get 4/5 at a time but now we only get one every 4/5 times we go!! maybe the spear is the way to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good crack though!!!!!!!!! keep it up mate sean

hello all, just been speaking to a mate, who, had a coarse and trout fishery, which he no longer runs, so he has let the land and ponds to a bloke who is setting up a wildlife oasis!! he spent in the region of £2500 buying some swans and other water fowl. when checking them one morning he found some of them dead.....with broken necks???? but other than that unharmed. the trout pond was emptied but the coarse pond had some fish, including some quite big carp, left in. and some of these have disapeared???? first thoughts where poachers !! but the land is heavily protected ar
