    Crufts 2009

I dont know for sure why the BBC refuse to broadcast the Rotty but maybe it is because of these genetic ailments they suffer from:- Aortic stenosis Elbow dysplasia Hip dysplasia Cataracts Cervical vertebral instability Deafness Demodicosis Entropion Hypertrophic osteodystrophy Hypoadrenocorticism Lymphedema Neuroaxonal dystrophy Panosteitis Progressive retinal atrophy Retinal dysplasia von Willebrand's disease X-linked muscular dystrophy Entropio Whereas the breed in your avatar (border terrier, which the BBC has no

    Crufts 2009

Crufts 2009 The latest big dog news is that the BBC say it will not be broadcasting Crufts as usual next year. Crufts is a major attraction with over 150,000 visitors and over 22,000 dogs which come from all over the world. The BBC show was regarded as having a six million strong audience. The BBC’s request to The Kennel Club, UK, was that 14 different breeds were to be excluded from the world’s largest dog show group categories and Best in Show competitions. The breeds the BBC wanted removed are: Disputed breeds Basset hound Clumber spaniel Dogue de Bordeaux Mastiff

  5. There's a lot of deaf and blind ones about ! i know someone who has a 6month old pup from a top pedigree KCregd line and it is totally deaf, completely blind in one eye and partially sighted in the other. Basically the breed is f****d !
  6. I would say the majority of Golden eagles in captivity being used for falconry will take fox and the majority of eagle owls in captivity will not even take rabbit.
  7. obviously a wind up thread!
  8. Was he caught on his collar and if so? do you think the size of the B & F transmitter had anything to do with being trapped?
  9. iF YOU ARE GOING TO MOUNT ON THE LEG, I WOULD USE AT LEAST 3 COLLARS TO BE SAFE. i USE THE TRIPLE COLLAR METHOD ON MY TERRIER. hEAR IS A PHOTO OF HIM JUST BEFORE GOING TO GROUND.

    manning a falcon

i had 2 parent reared birds flying free 9 days after coming out of pen this season, they man up as you progress with flying. Its better to get them out hunting or a least on carcasses as soon as possible so that the falcon doesn't get switched onto the falconer as mummy. They dont need manning like a hawk, because they dont fly to the fist repeatedly, it is just one flight and back to a lure.
  11. i tried eating squirrel, i found it not even worth the effort skinning the thing. There is next to no meat on them when cooked.
  12. Springer spaniel for gun, unless you want to shoot a terrier. Springers dont need any more excercise than a terrier.
  13. A doberman isn't a hunting dog! and has been bred as a pet/guard/show dog for years so why use one. A working English pointer would be a better option. They have masses of stamina and good hunting instincts which have been bred into them for generations.
  14. They dont usually have a good hunting instinct, they were originally line bred for dog fighting and since bred for shows hence the lack of wanting to hunt.
  15. i spoke to a professional gundog trainer who has had a couple at his kennels, he said he wouldn't have one given to him. I asked him to elaborate and he said "they're just crap".
  16. Are the blacks harder due to the ammount of staffordshire bull terrier in them ?? A lot of the blacks on this forum look like slim staffys!!! i'm bollixed altogether,i've a russel and a small cock You think that's bad - I've got a russel and NO cock
