Also if you fancy traveling further afield theres always Tom and Jim at "Continental shooting supplies" Ayrshire Shooting Ground where you can try the shotgun on clays before you buy it they are at Blackstone Farm,Dalry.KA245HN.check thier website or give them a phone first to see if they have anything that interests you its a fair treck but well worth the journey.

Hi folks I have a cannon eos 1000f camera which I bought about 20Years ago and has had little use I know that the camera body is pretty much worth about £50 even though it is in as new condition But the question I have is will the sigma lenses fit a 500d body and will they operate with the 500d or am I better to sell these with the camera body and if so what should I expect to get for the lot the larger of the two lenses is a 70-210mm and the other is a 35-80mm

It amazies me how different feo's translate the law to suit themselves could it maybe be due to your location mate,I buy my bullet heads in boxes of 100 dont think the shops round here would split the boxes.

My feo keeps trying to reduce it at every renewal but as I buy in lots of 500 to save cash,Im not budging and he can't reduce it as long as I keep buying in 500 round lots,Im also allowed to hold 200 rounds of 22-250rem and buy 100 which is down to the fact that I home load these...

you will have to fill in another form and pass it to your feo asking for the variation to be added to allow you to buy the .22 rimfire dont forget to ask for a .22 moderator you will also have to ask to hold .22 ammunition, I can hold 600 rounds and buy 500 rounds. hope this helps

spot on , i train all my lurchers with stock from 10 weeks old, and still take them to see stock every other day. And if that happened above to my dogs today. The person that killed my dog or dogs, would have hell of a prob trying to do is job working with permanent brocken hands. Not bravado - fact The issue is not with dogs that are under control but dogs that are running amock among livestock when it is clear for all to see that the owner is not in full control of his dog as has previously been mentioned were not simply talking about someone passing through with thier dog o -

I have taken onboard what everyone has said and I think setting up a buisiness might be more bother than its worth,I will suggest doing it the way I have done in the past and see how it goes in the first instance until I look into the legal side of setting up a business(free of charge and I keep the carcasses unless he wants the odd one or two).....and if he really wants to part with cash I will ask him to cover my expenses or take me on as a part time PAYE employee, vehicle insurance should be fine I think because I have travel to and from place of work and as said everything would have to be

I think that you should read my full post mate,I can asure you I do not take shooting dogs lightly and I do comply completely if the need should arrise also re your comment about the chief constable perhapse he just read the red extract from the piece that you posted mate, but at the end of the day I have had no repercussions whatsoever. -

i disagree , i suggest you register a buisness name and invoice him properly , you would pay a little tax- what ever you declare, you will be able to claim back your fuel etc, and even when you buy vehicles, claim for your mobile - everything which involves exspense with your job. be professional as you can as it will lead on from this job. the owner would like to tell everyone he has a pro stalker, this could be the start of agood thing. its easy to register your own buisness and the benefits will astound you. look into it and get some one to help you who is self employed. go for it , and g

I will probably suggest that to him and that if he is required to bill for the service that he can take me on his books as part time or something like that mate,I think It could open up a few more oppertunities for free stalking for me....but Im running out of freezer space and we are just at the start of the bucks lol I may have to sell a few to fund my DCS

Hi Ive recently been recomended to a client who has asked me to control roe deer and he requires me to invoice him for the work but Im not sure what the going rate is,would you bill per visit/per beast/or per year. In the past I have just kept the carcass and this is the first time I have been asked to bill for my services but with rising fuel and ammunition prices etc this may be an oppertunity to cover some expenses although I have been stalking for 15+ years I may also have to fork out for my DCS1+2. I have walked the ground and there is visual signs of deer dammage grazing at shoul

I have had an in depth discussion with my local chief constable and was advised that if a dog is in a field with livestock and the owner is not either in close control of the dog or the dog is not on a lead then is resonable to asume that the dog is "out of control"in the eyes of the law and hence could legaly be shot by the landowner or a person acting on behalf of the landowner. The landowner I shoot for has had various problems with dogs worrying livesock, she has put up signs thoughout her property, she also has a couple of sheep in certain fields to encorage people to keep thier dogs ei -
Roe that I have shot on soft marshy ground have feet like the ones in your pic because they dont wear down due to the soft ground and this could be unrelated to the injury in the shoulder Its a condition called alladins slippers.
