  2. 7mm brass is available to buy, or you can neck down .308 brass, big selection of bullets from all major manufacturers.
  3. For me it would be the .308 Win, but an alternative is the 7mm08, similar weights but better ballistics of 7mm bullets
  4. Have used hw95k with venom kit, 17ft/lb,sweet, minimum recoil, but loud crack at the muzzle. Pellets used RWS superdomes.

  8. Hi have you had chance to look at the posting from Black fox. He raided our workshop.(He likes our coffee) With a camera and took a number of photos of a custom stock being built for a little 17hmr. Thought it would be the sort of thing that would interest you.   11. A stainless 6inch flue will heat up quicker a draw air much faster, easier lighting and hotter quicker. Also if you burn alot of wood the resin collects on the inside of a chimney which sparks can ignite and you have a chimney fire . Do it right do it once. ATB, PV.
  12. As Snap Shot says, for fox .223 Rem as a first centrefire.Should be no problem first time application, give good reason, proof of land. I was granted .22lr, .223, and .308 first application.

I shoot a 75 varmint in .308,it's never bothered me the extra weight but it depends on your stature,whether you add a moderator, walk your ground, shoot from high seats or freehand, off sticks, numerous things. It's important to be comfortable and to be able to keep a steady aim. Try handling one, make sure you try with mod fitted and or bipod these all affect balance and weight. They do shoot well, good luck with your purchase.
