Is an old outbuilding where we put all out old junk in the past i had an avairy there but had a major mouse problem, the run itself has a wire roof and the floor is now brick with a few bits and pieces for the ferrts to climb and generly muck about in me or me boy clean the area every other day with a good hose down and give it an occasional sray with a diluted jeys fluid I remember reading a discussion on here that Jeyes fluid is bad for ferrets, can anybody recommend a safe one.cheers

  16. Inbreeding does not 'create' faults as such, it simply brings the 'rubbish into view', so to speak. The traits exist, they are simply hidden. The reoccurance of certain genes [which is more likely in related animals, as they are more likely to have similar genetics] will make the traits manifest. Which is fine if you are willing to cull extremely hard to remove the deleterious traits, so that only the desired traits remain...but honestly, to do that just for colour is ridiculous. Now if it was some trait that gave an animal a distinct working or health advantage... Outcrossing on the other

    nets

just starting ferreting and need some advice(a)best place to buy purse nets (b)how much should I be paying?. Thanks in advance.
  20. Nope! If I'm going to ask my wee beasts to work for me, then I accept that sometimes I need to spend a bit of time waiting for them. They work bloody hard for me mate, & I reckon it's only a right b*****d that will f*ck off & leave them to their fate. At the end of the day, YOU put the wee bugger down the hole in the first place, & it's incumbent upon you to wait for them to come back up! You want them to work? Well, if they're down the hole they're working!!! In nearly thirty years of ferreting, I have never lost a ferret beause I couldn't be arsed waiting for it
  21. WISH YOU WAS UP HERE IN YORKSHIRE,ID DIE FOR CHANCE LIKE THIS,BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR SEARCH MATE,ATB.
