  5. Ive never needed to do that... ever since being about 5 years old i was taught that if a ferret locked on just to put pressure on the skull with your finger(not too hard) and they usually let go. Dont have many taps on my permission.I still have the scar from an albino ferret from years ago.Hardest bite i have ever recieved from a fert.If i be honest i could have crushed its skull. I mean at home you nut And me neither scot TBH, hasnt happened to me yet. It's what my uncle used to do though, was hilarious.

  8. From the title I thought you meant a ferret had been killed while you were ratting! Glad you got it back
  9. Just chuck the lot in, but make sure you dont have any lead left in there.
  10. then fed it to the ferrets? that would be ironic...
  11. not if the floor sloped away from your back
  12. I came up with this design earlier and was wondering what you thought of it. It is basically a wooden rucksack, with two compartments one on top of the other. I did this quick sketch to show you but couldnt really be arsed so its not very detailed. The only problems I could think of are piss drainage and uncomfortability. I guess for the piss drainage I could have a sloped floor with a gap to allow run off, and a lot of padding could help stop the bottom back edge digging in, so they arn't really that much of a problem. It would be much easier to carry around the feild than c
  13. A big old hob can obviously take more abuse from a rat than a little jill could, but it depends on the size of the holes etc as to what you can use. If possible, avoid ratting with them as its pretty risky tbh. Pretty much any meat (or tripe) is ok to feed 'em, as long as you know its safe (no infection/diseases etc. visable) but if you mean like canned dog food, then no. Its pretty bad for them altogether and doesnt give them the right nutrients.
  14. always wondered this... can you eat myxi rabbits?
  15. Well thats just stupid, now they will definitly go to a pet owner rather than someone who will actually work them. Not sure whether you meant you didnt take them because they were from pet suppliers, or because you had to wait another week, but either way it doesn't really matter does it?
  16. Thats not on 2 foot legs stubby...
  17. Had it actually damaged the ear? If not then its probably just something rubbed off onto it. Could also be a bad infection if there was a wound.
