    mt cz 452 .22LR hated them! wouldnt cycle properly, didnt want to group etc, i then tried RWS which were very good, but i have finally settlend on winchester.

    very well done mate, an valiant effort! i have been fliting between the running dog / lurchers sections of late, there is a lot of aggressive guys down that part of he forum! its nice to see people being encouraged for putting the effort in. did you get some pics mate? stick them on when you get a chance. fair play and well one.

    dogs can survive parvo! this is a link to alano espanol read the health problems section ( i have a an alano cross) so it is possible keepo the faith mate! http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/alanoespanol.htm i know your dog isnt an alano...but dogs can survive it mate, although it is rare.

    there is some hard ass :wankerzo4: on here, fair play to giving him a go mate. well done enjoy your time with your dog, don't go working him to hard at that age you end up breaking his heart. but fair play and well done.

    what happened to the dog?? i dont no i wasnt waiting all day to find out..but i have seen some fella walking a bitch that looked like her in the same area so it's most probably her. but to be honest i dont realy care ? is this a joke ? or is it just me that is reading your posts, ????? I dont blame him to be honest the dog made its choice. err not really!!! :wallbash: dogs dont make "choices" like we do! don't you watch the dog whisperer!

    ok i had this problem with one of my dogs as he was a n arrogant f*cker when eh was a pup this is what i done when the dog comes to you, give them a treat..... i don't mean wait until your out hunting and then try and do it, cos its just not going to happen, i mean around the house, in the garden etc......keep small treats with you at all times and treat every time they recall !!!! and i mean EVERY TIME! after a day of being rewarded this way the dog will get it, the next day treat alternatively with food and ridiculous amounts of affection, do this for a couple of days and then ween t

Victor: i spent 9 months in oz ranging from the southern border right up to noosa / queens land, went in land to swan hill / tooleybuck plenty of roo and pig hunting round there fella! but i never got the oppotunity...next time!

    i got him from john sheldon in essex mate, but he doesn't breed any more i'm afraid problems with mrs i think!? i can Put you in touch with some top alano breeders in Europe and America PM me if your interested mate, PS: there isnt any other breeders in the UK.

    get your self a lurcher mate will be less frustrating when working, cheaper to feed, better looking etc i dont elieve a bullmastive of an type could catch rabbits or big rats on the lamp when i.ve seen some dogs struggle. ah well you had a laugh thats the main thing f**k me calm down the lad only shared what sounds like a great weekend away with us,and i believe that the mastif did take the quarry with ease,ive seen it myself and know a few that work them! And as for catching big rats(your blaintly a computer hunter) i can run as fast as them even the terriers can catch them! Get

    this subject is getting moved all over the show bullmastiff! i have had some pretty stern critics on my mini write up, as you say its not about the type of dog etc its about getting out there and enjoying it, finding the right quarry for the dog.

    well let me put it like this...... why not if they can do the work? but i guess the real answer is because we love working dogs that poeple just dont expect to be good enough until they see it with their own eyes. :o

    cheers mate! and a little note to some of the other guys: me and bullmastiff know there is die hard lurcher fans out here and knew we would get some sH7t from people on this part of the site...the proper write up is in the general section for those who are genuinely interested and have anything remotely constructive to say. the Alano espanol is a boar dog, the neo is a guard, however flash is mooe alano with the neo head so he is surprisingly fast, i think someone asked why would you want to run a dog like this, well why not? he is fast enough got one hell of a bite. there is guys on h

    hi bullmastiff, what an awesome account of the weekend! much more info and better put than i could have ever done it! my attempt was poor. i thought that we might get people being skeptical about working mastiffs! haha if only we did have a video camera but i'm not sure that we would want to be publishing this sort of thing anyway! looking forward to hooking up again asap. here is a pic of flash for those of you that are interested.
