  1. The river here in Bedfordshire hold alot of eels. Back in the 90's i remember the italians and polish having competions at night. They would use 40lb line size 2 hook's and pull them out. Last year a friend and I caught 22 of the things 2lb plus whilst fishing for bream and tench.
  2. Thats one for the photo album. A very good conditioned tench.... My favourite, them and bream, i really enjoy swimfeeding, builds my muscles up too!

    Too Hot

I was in Wales visiting family at the weekend, the air con and frequent stops did the trick for the dogs. Walked the dogs at 6am by 9am it was too hot for them. How do the sheep manage? lol The sun doesn't really effect me, but my partner has alot of skin cancer running on her side of the family. Its a little depressing coming back to flat land
  6. I use to send one dog in to flush the munty out into the open. Once out they are pretty easy to catch. Yes they are hedge wackers and they wont stop for anything! Id keep the dog on the lead though in this present day and age when around that area, you never know who is about. There a nice beast to stalk with a rifle.
  7. Penny is very experianced with her dogs and does work them.
  8. Saluki X's for me. Correct dog for the ground and location. They have endless stamina, courage, commitment, speed and good feet. All the way.
  9. Never been my cup of tea, also the land i run mine on would not suit a Bull X. However, there are some nice examples on here. Like any dog, patience, correct training, then you wont go far wrong. Please dont forget, the dog may or may not have it in him/her to work to a standard that is required from its owner.
  10. Nothing new there! Any fox in my scopes is classed as vermin.
  11. Since 2002 ive had a trap nerve in my leg. Tried all sorts of meds, etc..... Pysio from work has done the trick, loads of different stretches throughout the day. Accupuncture is good way of helping the pain.
  12. It makes me laugh how many people suck up to the FAO's yes sir no sir and hopeing to gain a cert to shoot a couple of rabbits. Then they disagree with the law, spit their dummies out when they do wrong and have their guns taken away! Rules are rules. They are explained to you, so abide by them. If your a fighter after a few stella's, short tempered, a wife or partner that calls the police each time you say "BOO" to each other then id advise you not to apply for any cert.
  13. o well there is far more people killed with cars in the uk than people killed with legally held firearms so its a bloody good job they dont yake cars of people for the same reasons not many would be driving i suppose ypu willsay thats a good thing to Thats the trouble, where do we stop Riohog? Drugs kill, drink kills. knives kill...........
  14. Blame the twats who abused their tickets and killed inocent people! Tougher rules need to be added to firearms and shotgun certs. Do all people who apply really need a firearm/Shotgun? Its good they get taken away, hopefully a lesson is learnt. In this case it hasn't, yes its not nice, but thats what you sign up for and the FAO should explain the risks to you on appointment.
  15. Its a very nice pup, and all the best with it. Some members do post there pride and joys with dog shit left in the kennels, water bowls tipped over garden in a real state loads of hazards lying about, doors falling off kennels etc...... When people post pictures, its only instinct to see what else is the picture, the eye just looks at the whole picture! Perfect bait for the unwanted!

  20. Spot on, i have a 10month old that is showing commitment, potential, but would'nt go as far as saying heart though. Way way way too young for that statement.
  21. How many people live in council homes and have brought them?
  22. A preganant woman can piss in a coppers helmet so im told. Like to see them try.......... Bull x's can catch rabbits. In Chester, England, a young girl was thrilled to get a puppy for her birthday. She played with it for hours and then decided to take him for a walk. The girl took her puppy for a walk around the house, and then remembered that she had a tennis ball inside for him to play with. The girl tied the puppy to the handle of the garage door and ran in to get the ball. Just then, the girl's father arrived home and, as he turned the car into the driveway, he hit the remote
