    Hares

Same here, a good number of them, infact there has been a incline in numbers over the last 2 years. There are many Buzzards. A nice bright sunny day will produce plenty of thermals to see these birds soar effortlessly into the sky. Wonderful.

  11. Did he tell you about the eel he caught by the slipe bridge with his bare hands whilst fishing for bream? share the story then.i could sit and listen to the elder generation for hours, whether their storys be total bollox or not and i have alot of respect for that generation.shame many others dont. Theres not much to it really. Stunt man Eddie Dewild was in his wadders fishing for bream on the waggler, anyway, he feels a thud on his wadder, looks down and see's this eel hovering by his left boot. He then stated that he gently crouched down and scooped this eel up from the bot
  12. Vets are there to make money, simple as. I had to attend a town vet due to the fact our village vet (who was spot on) had moved to new pastures. Well all i got was dirty looks, and loads of questions that i refused to answer about my dog, because i know that they are against working a hamster let alone a good working dog. Now we have a good australian vet moved back into the village and is as sound as a pound, down to earth, understandable, careing, fair and honest. Sorry to read that you got ripped chap. Its a disgrace.
  13. I drink Green Tea, so i dont have the hasssle of Tea Bagging.
  14. Sadly the BNP don't have a chance........... Yup and your in Portugal!
  15. Its not nice, but its survival. This happens each and every year. There's much you can do, and as someone has mentioned the farmers will take advantage of this weather, as we all do. Such a shame.
  16. I had a reasonable turn over with black rock's last year. Leghorns i find are much better than the black rocks.
  17. Did he tell you about the eel he caught by the slipe bridge with his bare hands whilst fishing for bream?
  18. the lad in the shop spoke to the fao not me. Ahhh i see.
  19. Thats the place mate....... They have built houses by the cut, thats a good place for the bream and tench. The twin bridges. You a QP boy then? Do you know a chap called "Deaf Eddie"
  20. If this is all true, and correct then the shop itself needs to be investigated. It's for the safety of yourselves and others. If this chap is bending the rules then he needs to put straight. It's no point saying "Its ok ive got my gun back" because all that is showing to me that you are not a responsable gun owner, and he's not a responsable shop owner. Sorry i dont mean to offend. You say you spoke with the FAO, ok what did they say? I find this a little too strange.
  21. Did you buy the gun privately? Why did you get the rifle tested? Under power, what were you expecting? If this person had called the police then you would of or should be expecting a visit. I think you need to do some digging around regarding this chap at the shop, and ask to speak with the FAO to cover your back. If this was the case then im sure you were aware that you were in possession of a firearm, its important to speak with the FAO.
