  8. On the road early this morning,6.30,the earth we were doing today was one we dug at the start of the season, entered the old smasher dog at 7.30it was still dark, got a mark of 1.6 out in the feild, left it 20mins or so and set to work, the first 2 foot was handy but then the ground was like iron, when we got down the game was ina side pocket off the main tube so the dog took a bit of stick, lifted dog and let game run, tried again to see if there was another further upthe tube, andsure enough there was,got a mark about 4 or 5 feet from where we dug it at the start of the season,so rather than go thro
  9. havent upset them at all yet ''but any coursable game will be now shot on sight I understand your anger mate but to do that makes you as a bad as if not worse than these so called hunters, remember the od saying that we al have to abide by,that is that 'wildlife is not ours to dispose of as we choosel we have to lok after it and manage it sensibly,to make a statement like that would lead people to beleive that you have a worse mentality than these twats.to rid the landof hares as a way of dealing with unwanted guests is wrong and unjustified, with hares on the decline and tosseres like this o

  13. I have noticed genuine terriermen put up good posts and pics and get little or no interest by others, whereas a post about a dogs dock being a little short or a dog shit in the back round of a pic run for days if not weeks, its hard to see the logic in it,on the other hand there are those who choose not to post pics which is there choice but contribute with there valued opinions on subjects and matters
  14. Tidy little bitch there mate, its nice to see a few bitches getting a mention on here,as its mostly dogs seems to be gettin put up in most of the posts, should be a good producer
  15. Theres always the possibility mr fox wasnt home alone, there my have been another resident in there, and while your dog was working his fox the other occupant walled its self in,yo say your dog was digging?could have been at game walled in,maybe this could be why your hound missed it,did you try your bar to the front and sides.the dog might have knon something was there, especialy if he is a proven dog.
  16. There a credit to you mate, did you breed them yourself?
  17. No mate theres no plummer in the make up of these dogs
  18. ][]Out for a dig today with joe cash from here,a big earth covering about 30 yards, let in the old smasher dog and he soon hit game, let him settle for about 20 mins and got a mark of 5 foot in between 3 trees,so plenty of roots, after about an hour of digging and choping we were ,only down about 2 and a half foot, then all went quite, checked the box and the dog was gone, then back again, dug another foot, then gone again, then back, could'nt understand it,i've had the old dog since a pup and had over 100 head off game with him,an has never let me down,we decided to open up to him to see what was goi

  23. Personaly im a big fan of russell, ive always kept and worked them with good sucsess,Ive also kept blacks and still do,Blacks tend to be easier to enter however, and will want to go a lot sooner which some think is great, may be because they have no patiece or big egos.easily entered and easily ruined by those with with little experience or people that should know better,All breeds will work equally well if they are given the opertunity and the breeding is kept right,WORK FIRST ,LOOKS A BONUS,unfortunatly the latter seems to be more important to some
