  5. good stuff there daffyd!!! I have done a bit of falconry and am looking into getting my own some day. One of the best ways to hunt your quarry! Well done mate. BFTB
  6. I have caught chub, roach and dace on the fly, not the norm for fly fishing mainly on the dry fly, and they put up a nice little scrap aswell on a light outfit. Never tried for carp or barbel though but would guess you might need a slightly heavier weight rod!! They can't half take some line, but still no match for trout and salmon! BFTB
  7. Yeah, I think my next choice is ebay. they should go on there! Saving up for new fishing tackle.

  10. No no its not near the holes and that amount of 'debris' wouldn't come from the bits on the crag, its been put there by something. and its all out of the wind aswell. I'm 99.9% sure its some form of animalk and the nearest holes to the bedding stuff are two badger sets.
  11. Yeah, I've seen stuff like that done in some woods near mine, quite clever of them isn't it! I wouldn't have thought they would do it but they must.
  12. Could be badgers, they do that sometimes, I had seen some cubs round here, and there is a big badger set in the wood next to the one where the foxes were, we found a fox leg outside the set. So it looks like ones nabbed a cub for lunch!
  13. Yeah, theres plenty to skin after a day out! Its a stoeger semi-auto and I'll tell you know i love it. Really good gun for the job(s), bolting rabbits, crows, pigeons, fox you name it, it does it. Plenty more rabbits about round here aswell, farmers just cut the hay fields and its rabbit central!
  14. Just some pics of some of my recent rabbiting missions. I help my cousin with his pest control, as there are plenty of rabbits to clear. Whilst he is trapping or snaring big numbers, I will potter around with the rifle and plink a few off. Been getting some good sport out of it.
  15. Very true, they are one of the worst pests to birds and wildlife in our country I reckon.
  16. In my spare time I help my cousin with his pest control. We were bolting rats with the ferret in the morning, which was good fun, but we had to be careful when to 'slip' the dogs as the terriers were not broken to ferret! My sprocker spaniel did well killing a couple of them, and nicely suprised us with his speedy dispatches, as he is usually a soft mouthed dog. The terriers showed no reverse gear as usual, and old scrumpy is a cracker to watch on rats as he gives a quick shake and is looking for the next one......or the ferret!
  17. Does that fox have broken legs or something mate??
  18. I don't like it when this happens but I could see it coming at some stage on the post. Noddy10 sort of messed the whole thing up, by handing the job over to hob_ferret with no wood and was going to hand all the costs over to him aswell. At the end of the day it was a bit of a mess up and a piss take when he started to ignore PM's and phone calls. So at the end off the day I dont know how you can blame this on hob_ferret? Yeah noddy10 might be a genuine guy but after what has happened here it makes him sound a tad dodgy. At least we have had it sorted out by the good man John Hubery.
  19. Its all good now, I think well go with john on this one, for the kennels. i'll pm hob ferret and tell him. Thanks all BFTB & DnN
