    Rabbit numbers?

Hi. So thick with rabbits in some places that i notice the traction control lighting up on dashboard.
  2. Hello folks. A question for lurcher keepers. What are the dogs we have seen on television on Emmadale and Heartbeat? Rough coat, medium size, grey. Its been a while since i saw them and i never watched the programs because they are 5h1t. Lovely dogs though. Bryan.
  3. Hello folks. I agree with Snatcheatrr. Its best to take food and drink and tell sellers to poke it. Good day out though as it has to be said that we are not catered for by tv. Will be good to see products in the flesh instead of magazines where writers only brown nose to makers and importers instead of truthfully rating items. Bryan.
  4. I second that. Cheap as chips compared to Bismuth etc for 12bore at ducks.
  5. Hi folks. YES. A lot of the rules and regulations do get on yer t1t5. However, if you are working at the roadside and wearing a visivest you are safer because the motorists see you at a distance and slow down because they think you are plod collecting stealth tax. I believe site workers now have to have tests and carry cards to show competence to opperate diggers, dumpers, grinders etc. SO how the fukk do the Albanians etc get them when they can't even speak our language?
  6. Hi folks. My input for what its worth. Pinch skin on back about 1/3 distance down from head and cut a slit 2 inches long across backbone. Using two fingers of each hand seperate and peel each skin back ie jacket upwards and trousers downwards so that its left with gloves, socks, head and tail bone. Slightly nick tail base with sharp knife each side and tug tail to remove. Sharp knife removes head. Poultry shears are good for the feet. Turn bunnie boy onto his back and with knife cut through H bone. This divides back legs and allowes easy removal of crap pipe and glands. YO
  7. Hi. Those double entry traps look the doggies danglies ,so if anyone knows a supplier would they please tell us. Bryan.
  8. How long have you had a HMR...how long have you been giving away rabbits??? Do you have any idea how long people have been eating lead shot from Shotguns...copper and plastic are far less dangerous to humans ..even if some found it's way into your bunny after you have blown it's head off with a HMR! Thankyou Mr Deker. Thats very reassuring. I mostly use Fac air rifle or pass on rabbits shot by mates with .22 rimmies. However i decided to blast the cobwebs from the HMR last night. I think i will now make more use of that.
  9. Hello folks. I don't know where i read it but i seem to remember something about ammo types for rabbits. I believe the writer was saying do not use 17 hmr on rabbits for human consuption because fragmentation causes small pieces to dissipate througout the carcass making them unfit even when taking head shots. If anyone has something on this subject could they PLEASE speak up. I passed 7 rabbits on to a chap for his dogs that could otherwise have been people food. All the best-Bryan.
  10. its a no brainer if yer not happy with neck shots dont take them  a well taken neck shot should drop the beast on the spot no knife needed. maybe you should try the heart shot again until your confident, necking them is risky at the best of times unless you know what you're doing. Yes mate. Its called the spinal column.
  11. just the adaptor BRB.......................going to feck your eye releif up !!!!!! they should sell it with a butt extesion aswell !!!!!!!!!!!!!...lol cheers sean That might make his butt look big though
  12. Hi brockbart. Sorry to hear of your friends loss. Please don't take offence, but do you know this to be true? The reason i ask is that there has been a spate of text messages of horse thefts lately that appear to be hoaxes. Ie nine horses stolen, white transit, red landcruiser, blah blah blah. All local but messages appearing all over UK. I don't know anyone who has read about this in newspaper or seen it on tv. If true and the dog thieves are caught i hope they get the treatment they require. Bryan.
  13. Hi mate. Sorry to read of your loss[hopefully temporary] Good luck in your search. Bryan.
  14. Hi. I Googled orf and clicked on eMEDICINE-ORF Artical by Lana H Hawayek. It was interesting but, had some big words in it. Best of luck-Bryan.
  15. Horses and horse boxes that shit all over the road and are not obliged to cleen up the mess. They don't pay road tax for horses but get in the way of those that do. Not so bad if they are fit birds and smile and thank you for slowing etc.
  16. a standard aa field pellet will perform just as well at close range and you would be able to have nearly 1000 as opposed to 400 to play with just not worth the money mate just another gimmik, GIMMICK. And what about Sussex Sabo? Bryan.
  17. Hello Sean. It was not my intention to appear accusing or protective towards you. BIG SORRY. I was just trying to clarify my previous post. I believe it is called Trained hunter certificate promoted by BASC. I Sent them an email expressing an interest, but have received no reply as yet.
  18. Hi. I refer to the Trained Hunter course which became obligatory on 1st january 2006 to allow shoots to pass game birds on to gamedealers etc. I was hoping to hear from a shoot captain or gamekeeper or anybody that knows anything about it. The name of the golfcourse shall remain secret as there have been several people trying to muscle in. Also discretion is all important to golfcourses with all the "BUNNIEHUGGERS" around.
  19. Hi. I am no vet or biologist or anything, just a shooter. I think i have encountered what you describe many times over the years. I believe this to be a result of over population and that is why you often encounter several rabbits showing syptoms all at the same time. They probably all infect each other. As you cull more of them the others live more healthily and livers clear. I have always chucked these livers but used the carcasses for dogs etc. Bryan.
  20. Hello Folks. I have been thinking about possibly taking the course to aquire trained hunter certificate. With a couple of chums i have shooting on a golf course and its always a bit difficult to get shot of the carcasses[rabbits] It would be nice to at least sell the best ones and get some dosh from a butcher perhaps. Has anyone done this exam, test? Whats involved and can ordinary yocals take it and pass? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. All the best-Bryan.
  21. Anti immigrant coastal defence?
