  1. Hello Folks, I was a member 15 years ago and came out because of bikkering etc. I don't know any current members but am thinking I may possibly rejoin. Whats it like now, particularly the East Anglian Branch? Any views good or bad will be most welcome. Regards-Bryan.
  2. :angry:Makes me think of a phrase I have have seen on here, NAME AND SHAME :wankerzo4:
  3. Hello Fieldsportsman. You could try a book called " Trap Making Step by Step " by John Bryan. I am sure it came from someone on THL. Fourteenacre LTD. ATB-Bryan.
  4. Hello Ric. Thankyou for your reply. Unfortunately I do not know whether they are of use because it cannot be confirmed that they are suitable. I think that I need someone owning the same tacker to say that it needs x y or z staples. The tacker is British made and probably folded up. It may have been rebranded and the staples may be be available under a different name. ATB-Bryan.
  5. Hello Folks. I have a staple gun to use at the range for tacking targets up. Only problem is that I have no staples and can't find any on internet. The gun is a ROSETTO RT10. The staples required are larger than t50. Anyone use such a tool and know where staples may be aquired or an equivelent product? It would be a shame to chuck it if staples are still available. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ATB-Bryan.
  6. Hi. DUCKWING. You say that the handle was made to fit your hand. What did you use for a template?
  7. He should have mugged an old dear as the fine would have been only £50.
  8. This problem seems to come up Orfton. il get me coat
  9. Hi. Is this still available? I did pm you. ATB-Bryan
  10. Get the lad checked by the vet in case its something internal, like Epididymitis (spelling) My boy had this in september and I nearly lost him. I lost nearly £900 instead. ATB-Bryan.
  11. Hi Folks. I wondered what was going on. I agreed to buy the previous batch and sent her my address and asked for hers to send money to. I got no reply and sent no cash. I thought the deal sounded too good to be true. Bryan
  12. Hello Peeps. I use TD4 Commercial 02 plate with 65,000 on the clock. Probably the best firms van a shooting man could have driving wise. Too expensive on repairs though if paying the bills yourself. Last november 2 fuel pumps + labour = over £700. Electrics less than reliable and all bushes etc have been replaced, clutch cylinders, rear door latch twice, window regulator, Still original exhaust, battery, clutch, engine, gearbox diffs etc. ATB-Bryan.
  13. 'Take a few lads down and give the twat a good hiding' What kind of people do we need in the sport then?
  14. Hello Mate. Don't believe anything you hear and only half what you see. However if this chap really is that bad he needs outing because if there is an incident there would be an enquiry and all shooters on that land would be stopped. Be careful because you may quote one tale that he only spoke of to one person. If he is then challenged on it the cat is let out of the bag. You will not be wanting a 'tit for tat' war going on. ATB-Bryan
  15. Hello Mate. They are both good but you must alternate between the two to avoid resistance buildup. I ask the vet to look at my records each time because I can never remember what I had the previous time. ATB-Bryan.
  16. My opinion. They definately want to ban shooting and gun ownership. And eventually dogs, hawks and fishing. Why do I say this? Pistol ban hunting ban tail docking electronic collar ban lead ban marine access right to roam shooting pigeon for sport refusing to build olympic facilities at Bisley trying to get councils etc to ban gun ownership in their properties I am sure you folks can find plenty more examples of how government with police and defra and Natural England and arsepca are all in bed with each other all stabbing away at us bit by bit. :realmad:
  17. This is a Marlin 1894 Cowboy model in 357mag. It has a 24" octagonal barrel and is in A1 condition having fired only 155 rounds. It seemed like a good toy to have but I can't use it with open sights because of some kind of focussing problem causing blurring. I think lever action rifles look stupid with scopes. My mate shot better with it than I could and he has dropped his club membership. The rifle had the trigger tuned before I picked it up. The rifle was one of a small batch imported and there are not many 24" octagon barrels about. The scope is not for sale but the package includ
  18. Hello Folks. I wish to sell this rifle that I purchased in july 2006. It is the allweather stainless model with a laminated stock fitted with a SAK moderator. The barrel is full length 24" and proofed. Fitted is a Harris bi-pod of the swivel type. The scope is not for sale, but the 30mm stainless rings are. The rifle has fired approximately 200 rounds mostly at paper but has accounted for a few rabbits also. This rifle is incredibly good fun and very good at the rabbit job. Its only downsides are ammo prices and noise when compared to fac air rifles. I am selling t
  19. Why should our armed forces have to take on the assholes being talked about here? Do they they not have enough to contend with being under funded and having their urine extracted by our polititians?
  20. You could try putting on an old shirt that you are not too attached to. Get nice and sweaty and skanky in it and then put it in the dogs bed. You are now the pups new mummy -Bitch With any luck pup will snuggle down in the shirt thinking of you and be contented. It worked for me with a JRT. ATB-Bryan.
  21. Hi Danebrewer. I agree with you entirely and will sort out the rods etc. It is only the fact that my rifle is still quite new and stainless that stops me pannicking. I will get it sorted as I have more than £600 invested in the rifle plus £900 on the scope. The moddy was however a cheap SAK. ATB-Bryan.
  22. Bryan3....I think anyone who has been around this site a while is well aware of my view on boresnakes...but if there is any doubt...... Boresnakes were originally developed for a quick clean of SHOTGUNS in the field until the job could be done properly....the marketing people have done a brilliant job on them and for some reason a large part of the world now thinks they are God's gift and all you need for any calibre.......WRONG!!!! ....and take the Mod off before you clean the bore!! Hi Deker. I agree with you regarding Boresnakes. I tried to obtain a bore saver,
  23. Hi. I use a Boresnake. It seems to do a good job, but I think I will get a propper rod and solvent when I can get of my butt. Trouble is that with 24" barrel plus moddy and not many people stock extra long rods. The boresnake is like a shoe lace and almost cuts my hand like a cheese wire. ATB-Bryan.
