The spark and hunger will always be there and difficult to turn your back on Probably never be the same for most and yes going to the same places can definitely become boring, have you tried walking your spots differently not just for a change but creating an element of surprise for any potential quarry. Sometimes it's just good to be out but at at the end of the day my outlook would be as long as the boys are good that's the main thing as in past years iv been stupidly obsessively keen on hunting and although I'm still passionate about it and is one of the main parts of my life ther

Got to respect them rabbits they certainly don't have it easy do they from over hunting to different diseases and all this bad contant heavy wet weather.. -

It's a wetter winter than I can remember but I don't mind it when I'm out with my lurcher as it tends to keel all them barmy fair walkers in that you see everywhere these days..

Quite ironic really l l a friend of a friend had permission in one of the places you mention for years and ended up getting bored of it. First he stopped using nets n bolting to his dog then he'd just use his dog for putting them up, and sometimes lamping but as said the novelty wore off he got bot bored obviously not all but most rabbits were not a challenge compared to other places he has were he'd get 1/4 of the amount but the dog would work just as hard or harder n better faster sport. He ended up letting some pals go there with there bops its each to there own isn't it.. -
Hope so and thanks for that it's just a shame it has to be that way there great kids such characters n would have brought so much joy to Christmas for all

Great to read is that, my own dad is a waste of time he hasn't even met my two boys almost 7 n 5 and then my mum choosen to spend Christmas day with her boyfriend but offered the kids could could go up for a couple of hours on boxing day so I thought bolloxs to that i want my kids to be around family and experience the atmosphere n Christmas spirit it doesn't matter if a family is big or small plus my sister was doing her own thing with her kids n husband so although I wanted nothing more than to have my boys at Christmas I had no choice but to do what's right for them which was to let my ex h

Iv always said even if I could have the best dog on the planet but its useless if I can't get on with it. You can always get that more out of a dog and take each other over the edge when your best mates..

Those gos hawks are difficult arnt they? I always fancied a Harris plus heard there good to start with but never got round to it there all fascinating tho.. I really like owls especially barn owls I often leave a partridge or half a pheasant out for them.

Small fields n good fast rabbits then Paul no numbers being taken round those parts I guess. Like you say ground also plays a part and wise words about trying to run the type of dog to suit were folk mainly go
