  1. I agree with whats been said about breaking your dogs to sheep early as that's what I've always done and my dogs have always been bob on with sheep the trouble i have now is due to me loosing my young dog I've had to get another"OLDER"dog in and although I've not come across any sheep with her yet im quite sure she wont be used to them as she wont have ran in sheep country with her previous owner if this is the case i may be in for a rough ride as I've never had to break a two year old to sheep before i wouldn't really want to use the ram technique as she is quite a nervous dog anyway but Id
  2. Enjoyed that mate looking forward to the next one. Due to you running all the dogs do you not have any bother with the dogs colliding?
  3. Very sorry to hear about your bitch mate ime gutted for you i know how you feel, this has been a real unlucky month for some, sorry for your loss keep your chin up and all the best to you and yours.

  6. About 10 years ago i was given a runt-smallest pup out of a litter, the litter was sold for good money but the runt was the only one out of the litter to make the grade. Unfortunatley her career in the feild didn,t last long but she was a good little bitch.
  7. I think you should have some interest in those pups as the good old whirrier can be very useful for certain people and very durable. You can have a lot of fun with these dogs,i remember hearing about a dog "jenny"i think it was called who took massive bags of vermin i think she was a whippetxrussel. Good luck with them.
  8. Good pics and the young lad looks like he,s enjoying his hunting. How do the dogs cope with the ground "FEET WISE" when coursing as it looks hard going?

  14. Nice post and good pics you did well considering the terain. I went out myself last night but i was surprised how hard the ground was, were i was last weekend the ground was ok, what was it like were you were? I picked the most suitable ground to run the dogs but it was still hard so i just gave them a few runs and called it a night,i,ve just cleaned there feet and i think i,me gunna leave running them for a week or so were hopefuly the ground may change.
