Hey Bobndog, I only posted the information I came up with after doing a search on the net for the benefit of the OP - that's about the length of it. There is, and was never meant to be, any BS in what i had posted up here - it is just one result of the many I chose to post up - being that which I considered to contain the best information about the OP's subject question. Simple as that mate. There was no need to go and get all 'arsey' about it bud - chill out a bit old bean! Regards, Grim.

Thanks digit, I will have a squizz at it and see what goes? Regards, Grim.

I am after getting hold of a magazine for a 1942 No4 Mk 1* Lee Enfield, and also maybe the magzine clip and screw for same? If anyone has a suggestion of where i can look - in regards to Enfield parts and spares, I would be most grateful for a clue. I have, i think, near nigh exhausted most anything I have come across on the net, and this is why I am after some hints off others who might have had the same rifle I have now, or know of someone who hdeals in parts? Cheers, Grim.

Problem Sightening In
Grim Reaper replied to willis54's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Othickman, You have heard quite correctly, as it goes. BUT, that is not to say that my method (when slightly re-worked ) would NOT work just as well for springers. Providingyou can repeatedly hold the springer with more or less as simillar a grip as possible for each and every shot, the principle of the rest of my zero method remains un-altered. "Consistency of grip" is the secret with springers, after all - a 'loose', but none the less, 'firm' hold is the key here. Essentially, at the end of the day, you will be putting the cross hair centre right on the P.O.I of the pell -

Hi guys, You should find THIS will help you to zero a scope sucessfully? I did this way back - last year in fact, and most who have tried it and posted back seem to have had no problems afterwards? Regards, Grim. -
Hi Robbo, Right, Punt guns - I don't know an awful lot about them, but did a search and came up with the following information on them: "A punt gun is a type of extremely large shotgun used in the 19th and early 20th centuries for shooting large numbers of waterfowl for commercial harvesting operations. Punt guns were usually custom-designed, and so varied widely, but could have bore diameters exceeding 2 inches and fire over a pound (0.5 kilos) of shot at a time. A single shot could kill over 50 waterfowl resting on the water's surface. They were too big to hold and the recoil

Cheers Buster I made suitable re-enforcements were in place in case I ended up making a balls-up of it - the RFD I bought it from said he would help sort it if needed. I knew him quite well before buying this from him anyway, and so it was good to know I had a safety net there! Cheers bud, Grim. -
On the 30 July this year, I got me a new toy! WOOHOOO!! The following few snaps of it are pre-renovation (of which I have undertaken the very bare minimum - so as to preserve the character and originality of it) A side on view of it A view from the working end towards the front. It is a 1942 No4 Mk1 SMLE - and so is a bolt action, and has (I am informed) seen active service in the theatre of WWII. It has now been converted to enable it to fire .410 carts, from 2 inch upto, and including 3 inch magnums. It now has a smoothbore, and will have a magazine added to it ve

Falcon FN19 Zeroing Scope.
Grim Reaper replied to Gaoler's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
It is always best to zero the scope for the range that is effective for both the air rifle, and your own shooting abilities. If you feel comfortable shooting at say, 25 yards, then zero for that yardage. If on the other handm you feel you are better and more comfortable at 20 yards, then again, zero for that range. Realistcally, and assuming you have disciplined your abilities by target practises, I would not shoot further than 30 yards at a maximum, with a sub 12 ft/lb when going after living and breathing quarry. BUT, if you are just target shooting, or plinking at cans etc., t -

Scuba, The plaswads will be on the way to Jenksi this week mate. So, it is a case of 'over to you' now pal - for you to work your 'magik'! Regards, Grim.
-
Jenksi, You have a PM on it's way mate. Regards, Grim.

I could not agree more with you Michael. I too have had many PM me about this and that, and like you say, it is a pity that the info we give to the individual gets passed on 'behind the scenes' . . . . . . and thereby, at no benefit to others. But that has now become the way of it - the nature of the beast, if you prefer? Oh well. Regards, Grim.

" What would I like to see from the air gun section?" you asked SS? Well, for starters, I would like to see a hell of a lot less bitching and slating off of people in here - it happens all too bloody often, don't you think mate? I would (like most others) to see less of subjects being done to death as well - time and again. With regards to young or in-experienced shooters, would it be a good idea to have a thing sort of like FAQ, but for total newbies, as opposed to those who have started a while ago and are now getting into it proper, like? Then those of the membership willing t

I can understand the sentiments behind your statement bud, but cannot wholey agree with them as stated though. I prefer to think of it like this: All quarry, (it is of no consequence whatsoever what actual species it is, mind) has the right to as humane and decent a death as possible - without any (or at least as little) undue suffering to it. Now, i can reallize that you were talking of rats there, and if truth be told, nobody really likes the rats as a species, but even they deserve decency and swift dealings in their death, eh? Take note mate - I am not digging you out abo

And uhh . . . . . how does one erm . . . propose to light the match without err . . . . actually hitting the damn thing in the first place!? Because to actually light the match head through friction of the pellet, you first need friction itself . . . . . . and to obtain friction, you have to tightly squeeze the pellet past the match head - and to do that, you actually have to 'touch' the match head (albeit by a microscopical degree) with the pellet to cause the aforementioned friction needed to ignite the head . . . . . N'est Pas? So then, after all, you DO need
