we have a pack of beagle crosses ourselves for foxes ,no guns just the cover dogs and lurchers.We get right sport every weekend and account for a nice few foxes with the lurchers

no nt really only because dnt want 2 b on the same spot all day. we got 3 or 4 dogs 2 try on any one day we go out nd the more spots we check more chance of finding game for them. you must have plenty of quarry to dig ,how bad .The only thing is that game thats been dug a few times will test a dog i think meself

just plenty of different spots to try pal ,i know what your saying about educated game but they are scarce enough down my way so lads tend to let them run for another day .Do you not let game run ?

We dug again this morn pa,out early home early,thats what we do this time of year.We are mostly working youngsters in easy places so 2 or 3 digs in a morn is not a big deal.I will usually go where there is a good amount of earths in the 1 area so no need for traveling about with dogs locked into boxs.I know all the lads in or around my area are diging this past 3 weeks or so,not that over warm early morn. you leting all your run for later in the year? Yes everything is let run for another day unless the farmer or landowner want otherwise,then you have to accomadate,lol. same down h

if its the pups first couple of times to ground with quarry then surely you could give him more time .Like if you have had him from a pup til now then another few months wont kill you .He has to learn his job and build up confidence.Not every dog can can enter his first earth and be a legend from the word go ,although most lads wil tel you al their pups took to it like a duck to water lol

never done it never will ,to me its all about being in the country side with the dogs and a bit of fresh air working the dogs .Not driving threw fencess ,running down game and throwing dogs out windows.I guess with us it aint all about numbers

has he given the dog in question a few chances john .If so they tell him to do the right thing ,if it were my mate id tell him and expect any of my mates to do the same.It happenned to me twice in the last 5 years with lurchers ,one just had enough and the other was just plain scared shitless of old charles

dectamex is also a good alternative to dronotal ,everyone down my way seems to be using it lately
