Bladetech are good little sharpeners, very handy, but also a bit harsh. The 'Spyderco Sharpmaker' is very good and easy to make knifes 'scary sharp'. & they are preset for putting on a back edge, equivalent of a regrind. Most butchers only sharpen knives, most send them to a sharpener for a re-grind,.

This rough fox terrier bolted 1 last Friday, caught him up and put him back into the same sette and dug him with 3 more. (photo of dog from a year or so back) Next day dug to another small rough fox terrier (below) twice, 1st dig = 1 bolted and 3 dug, 2nd place dug 1. Trouble being, when the game dont wanna just sit there, the fox terriers ive seen cant hold 'em.

LOL, yes it werent the greatest of ratting dogs, BUT, thanks to those lads the public now has it in their head that using a dog to kill/catch something isnt such a bad thing, so I say well done fellas keep it up. -
Joking aside. You are not going to get many badgers to bolt, although it does happen it is rare. So for the benefit of your dog, dont put your 'bolting' dog in any place you are not prepared to dig to him, & as for digging in stone,,,,,,,,,,,,,good luck. By the way, your looking for a new terrier, what did you keep before?

Seeing more than 1 dog to ground saddens me, my own work single handed and thats that. But a lot of lads I dig with will double up, ive seen 3 to ground aswell,,,, :sick:

Some dogs are better on a chain set-up than others. You just need common sense and swivels.

Over the years ive dabbled, and just lately things have got out of hand, when I first tried, it was with friends, and at the weekend mostly, bit of a cliche, but I was doing it more and more in the week, The first main signs that I was getting an unhealthy liking was when I was going to sleep thinking about it and waking up thinking about it.
