just nets mate and only purse nets. our jobs wouldnt allow us enough time to look after a dog. although i admitt it looks great fun

i think maybe you are right we should invest in an unhooking mat or something similar but it would maybe have been better for it to be a suggestion rather than having a go like the other guy did we are all entitled to our views but some should be kept to ourselves if i was tell everyone what i think about the way they do something then i would become hated very quickly. just to add have you ever seen anyone lombasting trout fisherman for the way they return trout to the water holding them incorrectly for photos, lying them on the ground and i suggest that trout are not as hardy as pike by

Nice fish!!! yeah exactly! What the f**k is it doing lay on the f*****g stone!!! Where is your unhooking mat!! Jesus!! Thank god i wasnt there! or any other descent pike angler! i have fished with ferreter1888 for pike on numerous occassions and all pike have been returned to the water un harmed and fighting fit. so just because you can afford all the gear dont take it out on others who have perfectly good tecniques of handling and releasing fish.

hope you get better scothunter. this season has been good for us so far, but this is only my first proper season back at it after a 8 year gap. so every day is great for me at the moment with no pressure on numbers of rabbits taken. Merry Xmas and a happy new year

the rumbles from that last burrow were amazing three ferrets in and the rabbits were running about mad it was great kept us on our toes

got a couple of bunnies this season from the same burrow with white collar markings. havent managed a black one for years now not even seen one

it was a great day out and even managed to sell all the rabbits which was enough to cover the petrol and the bottle of whisky for the land owner. enjoyed the company. and the weather was good to.

managed to get out again yesterday with my dad and my two friends. had been looking forward to it for a while and had managed to get an order for sixteen rabbits. so arrived at ground about 845am did not see any rabbits, but that is not unusual on my ground. decided to do a little wood just off the road that had looked good plenty of signs of rabbits at the end of last season. set up a nine holer with no return. then did a forty holer which produced two one bolter and one dug out with new micro spade from screwfix (worked well and good for clearing soil from hole). my dad and two friends appea

good on ya mate. i to had this situation last christmas some one asked if i wanted two seveen month old ferrets a hob and a jill. luckily for me the were tame due to being handled. have not tryed them hunting yet but they like hole rabbit so fingers crossed.

out this morning for a few ours.managed to get some new permission for some peoples gardens. found two burrows got two from first and lost one then lost two from second one managed to miss two obvious holes. did another couple of burrows nearby and managed another three rabbits so all in all a good day and some fresh rabbit for me and ferrets first burrow on new permission my new hand made hemp net. managed to christen them today totally chuffed second burrow my new albino hob and home made ferret box. (the one on the right is mine)

hi folks i am new to the whole tying your own nets game and have started using hemp to do so. i was just wondering if you can dye the hemp with anything. if anyone has tryed this please let me know. thanks
