    hi folks looking to sell this rod shimano exage speciman 12'6'' seven piece fishing rod has been used about half a dozen times for pike fishing although did only catch a small one on it. it has a 2 3/4lb test curve on it and comes in cloth bag and rod tube. i am looking fot forty quid for it or any sensible offers

    lost one of mine from my run a couple of weeks ago. i looked everywhere in the neighbours gardens the fields across the roads. she turned up next door two days later. good luck finding her mate

    looking for some help finding a new spade. looking for something light weight but also strong enough to dig through rocky ground and ground around tree roots. i am on a tight budget but will stretch myself if really needed. any ideas

    did exactly that and fond where she got out. only problem is one of the other jills has taken a disliking to her and keeps niping at her is this normal

    thanks for everyones kind words and good advice thankfully i found her this morning in next door neighbours garden. she is in good health and has had something to eat. so alls well that ends well

    hopefully not mate there were only four other ferrets on being three months old and the others have been together for about 7 months now.

    cheers mate i keep blaming myself cause i built the run and there must be a gap somewhere. the only good thing is i got a new albino hob on sunday as well and he is settling in nicely.

    lost one of my ferrets yesterday. i built a run for them on sunday which is connected to there hutch. came home last night to feed them and my albino jill was missing. i can see no signs of where or how she got out. i am completely gutted and have closed hole from hutch to run off as i dont know how it got out.

    hi there went pike fishing for the first time yesterdayand caght this eleven and a half pounder. really chuffed. caught it on a mackerel tail and eight pound line. what a fight

    hi there everyone just got two new ferrets last night. one hob and one jill. problem i have is i am trying to post pics of them but i cant get them to go on with add image option. i have had problems with this in the past and just put photobucket links on but i want to put pics directly on to post any help would be appreciated[/size]

    my best this season was 13. having just returned to ferreting after ten years out. my all time best was in 1992 when hunting with my grandad and three of his friends somewhere near kinussie (for those people not familiar with scotland its in the highlands). we arrived there at around 7am and hunted until 4pm and between us we had over two hundred rabbits. this day sticks in my memory as i remember having to carry them back to the car . just wish i could remember exactly where near kinussie i was only10 at the time and used to sleep the full journey there and back. unfortunately no pics as no

    i have a hob and two jills together all year and he is snipped and they get on brill

    would continue but had some really young rabbits run out through the nets and farmer said he had seen a load of young ones out on the parks. so in the interest of stock for new season i have decided to stop

    hi everyone hope someone can help me. i am about to start tying my own nets and have been looking around the internet for places that sell the materials needed. i have managed to find quite a few sites but what has confused me is the best material to use and what materials you cant use. (Twisted P.E, Twisted Nylon, Spun Nylon, Braided P.E and Braided Nylon are all available from advancednetting and i was wondering if any of these where suitable). also have been looking for running line materials which seem to be harder to track down any help on different materials that can be used for this w

    i was out with ferreting1888. managed to get permission from a farmer that knew my grandad and gave him permission years ago. he remembered my grandad and sais that i could come and hunt the ground. had a great day and there are plenty more burrrows and rabbits for the future.

    hi there, i have just returned to ferreting after a bit of a break (10 years give or take) i didnt realise it was so difficult to get permission. thought i would do the right thing and go ask farmers for permission, but i have had nothing but refusal after refusal i live near glasgow so the areas near to home are limited used to travel to places like crieff and kirrimuir with my grandad but as i say it has been a while since i have been so would imagine permission has run out and i probably would not be able find the ground at kirrimuir as i always slept on the way there and back.

    HELLO.Bridport Nets sold me good quality,well -priced spools of coloured spun-nylon that I could'nt fault,Very fair/quick.G. postage.They do green ,yellow,black +red(possibly others)I've started colour coding my nets ,ie orange for3ft,yellow for 4ft etc.Makes it easier matching the net to the hole.Hope this helps.Good luck. thanks for the info have emailed them will let you know how i get on

    hi there was wondering if anyone knows where i could buy spun nylon in any other colour than green as this seems to be the only colour that i can get. i live near glasgow any help would be much appreciated thanks

    Hi there everyone. Just joined the forum today. I live in Barrhead near Glasgow. used to hunt rabbits with nets and ferrets when i was younger with my grandad, but he took unwell and i stopped due to the fact that i met my wife and now have a baby girl. I recently got started agian with one of my neighbours. i have managed to get two young jills and my nets which are still in excellent condition. have been out a few times over xmas and managed to get a few rabbits. i have been travelling around the local area looking for some hunting ground only problem being everyone keeps saying no
