  1. if you have a look at my website and go to the "view events" page, there are some terrier shows on line where you can see several patts

  3. i have been both a private and trade member of both over the years. I now just stick with BASC for my trade membership. I wrote to the CA and told them Ill rejoin when they sell their vast central London premesis and move to the suburbs into a modern building, thus freeing up the enourmous amount of capital value in the premesis and reducing their spiralling maintenance costs. They have yet to reply!!!

depends on what you want to learn about? i've always wanted one and now i'm in a position to keep one i'm just trying to get all the info i can on them like training them keeping them, and hunting with them, cheers for the links i thinks its a bit like books, try sticking to one or the others will throw you in all directions with different advice. $%^&*&^%$£$%^&*( is probably the best one. Certainly has alot of good experienced people on there.
  5. didnt seem to be so much main ring stuff this year...didnt see any hound parades like last year but maybe just missed them we did a couple of the scurrys and failed miserably but al good fun. Collected a couple of long nets, a knife, 2x dvd, a new swivel and bits and bobs from Ben Long.....and of course I was working also and shot a whole load of cover shots of gundogs and lurchers for the CMW. Have to say it wsnt as good as previous years but less people there made it more pleasant

  12. spot on!!! i speak Czech and english

  14. ive been several times with my friends in eurpoe and their porcelaines....sadly their best one was killed by a rival hunter when it started being too successful
  15. well we nearly had an accidental HWV x deerhound this week!!! seriously though, theres an article on it (ie gundog lurchers) in this weeks Countrymans Weekly.
  16. Guilty as charged! I do have a set on my female Gos and also a braided loop leash now. Fenland George sells them (from another forum)but I got my latest from a girl called zoe in Somerset, her jesses and leashes are exellent. The one thing I would say about the jesses is when new (especially), the button end stands proud of the eylet and looks a bit wierd, but the hawk doesn't mind-so neither do I Jim sounds interesting. Do you have a contact for her? or a website?
  17. I was talking to someone recently who had been to the US and bought some plaited jesses that are like a nylon spun cord type material.......he says he had them 3 seasons now and still look like new and never rot or snap etc. Has anyone tried them? Any pros or cons? just curious if this is the way it will go. personally I love making furniture out of leather on a cold winters evening but......safety has to be No1 priority for any bird so what do younall think?
  18. its usually ok but you could also try a small hutch inside your ferret court or a few days (new ones inside it) before letting them all together. thats what we usually do.
  19. well in the past when I have borrowed one from a particular strain that i wanted to intriduce into my stock, I have always kept it for a couple of months so that I had a good numbetr of eggs to set....and I would have one cock to maybe 3 or 5 hens. Hope that helps.
  20. the original copy of that clip is much longer and was filmed in the czech republic, the reason why i know this was because i was there and actually saw it get caught right in front of me. think it is illegal to hunt deer in this country with eagles too. chris. [bANNED TEXT] year wos you there my mates wos there last year leaning about eagles hes got a goldyxstep eagle we go up to scotland a lot to fly him on blue and brown hares some great fun I go every year....were they the geordies or the welsh?? we had some of both in our group last year .
  21. can anyone tell me if there are any well known monitors in the westcountry and if so what type of car they are driving? have seen an unknown vehicle out with us last 2 times and a bit suspicious. Would like to know if its someone I should know about? In this case it was a silver 4x4 but if someone knows it and can confirm the model is the same. id be grateful.

  23. Once the injury is resealed (by whatever means) use some stopper protectors to protect them for a few weeks. You can buy them from www.countrymun.com
