Hope I don't come across as having a go Sue. It's just that the original post (above) asked if he could feed myxy rabbits to his kits. Followed by several answers to 'bin' the rabbits. The answer to his question is that it is ok to feed them to his kits they will not be harmed. If he or you don't like the idea then that as you say is up to you. All the best no not at all its just different of opinions happy ferreting

as i said each to their own ,my ferrets and dogs are animals to me and they are treated like animals and i wouldnt throw away meat one day or a couple of days out of date or give it to the animals if was ok i would eat it myself and if it didnt look good then it would be in the bin or would you still feed it your animals

i always freeze for 3 weeks to be on the safe side ,each to there own i guess you do as you feel fit ,same with me i dont eat anything what looks dodgy so i dont expect my ferrets or dogs

so as mixy is easy to detect, you'd bin it, so how do you check for anything else that rabbit may have, but not be showing signs of, before feeding to your ferts sue mixy cannot be passed onto ferrets or humans, granted if the rabbit was covered in mixy, and looking a sorry state, it may not look good to you, but it'll taste the same to the ferts, do you think it the wild, a predator animal, say's no I wont eat THAT RABBIT it's got mixy yes mixy is easy to detect and no wild animal would refuse a easy catch ,but i cannot guarntee there isnt anything wrong with the other rabbits o

i dont believe in feeding anything that has something wrong with it to another animal

hunters are classed as cruel and barbaric ,but the everyday person contributes to the cruel ways of intensive farmed animals .ive almost completed my new chicken house which i am proudly going to get myself a few ex battery chickens which i am looking forward to free range eggs
