    i would say at 8 years a ferret has had a good bite at life and is probably preparing for fuzzy heaven :( i agree with swampy i wouldnt take a ferret to a vets its just not worth the cost i know thats sounds harsh but being from old school thats the way its always been at may patch that said i did take one jill to the vets when it took ill as it had just had kits 5 days at the time but it died anyway :( the kits mostly survived twhen i put them in with another jill which had had a litter at the same time good luck swampy hope she pulls threw for you mate kirky

    That's an interesting perspective. This (deer overpopulation) problem also exist over here. Many private land owners like wise don't want strangers hunting their land. Or, they are anti's, or they lease the land to someone. The deer numbers are too high causing auto accidents, crop damage, and devistate the natural habitat. I'm a working man and I could get tags for upto five does and two bucks every year if I had access.     know what your saying but isnt the countryside and shooting about keeping the balance which just isnt happening just now so surley somthing neads to change wouldnt it not be good for stalkers to take more peolpe out stalking for less money instead of it being by large a posh mans sport thus helping more country folks to shoot and eat deer kirky

    i see i think we should rekindle the fight to dock working dogs on welfare grounds ??? kirky its like everything though mate, once a law is there its harder to reverse, you get all the people moaning about the ban, how many of them sat on there arse while others were marching to protest against a ban then once the ban passed everyone moans like f**k but they thought ah theyll not miss me, when thousands say this to theirself the number gets bigger, same with docking ah all let someone else fight it then it passes and they kick up about that, i can only hope the hunting ban is lif
