  1. STP heavy duty brake parts cleaner, cleans auto shotguns, moderators, etc, does not strip paint or blueing, No1 cleaner.
  2. I bought mine, stage 1 tuned from Sandwell field sports brand new, its a HW 98, I cant recommend them enough, the gun shoots unbelievable, all what they say is true reading past comments about the place the gun is something else. You would not be disappointed.
  3. As above, been using this ammo for about 2 years only on the fox, the best round by far, flat and lethal.
  4. I have a 527 American in the hornet, had it for about 4 years, great round out to 200yds. A lot quieter than the .223 howa I also have if noise is a issue. As far as ammo goes, I load my own using Vmax 35 and 40 grain heads, The 40 grainers will not fit in the mag, so I always load the 40 in the chamber and load the 35 grainers in the mag as back up if needed, which Is very rarely as the 40 grainers are excellent and very accurate. I use mine mainly for fox but is also good on long range rabbits.
  5. I have had a Howa 1500 sporter for over three years, the factory trigger is a bit heavy at 3lb's, it has a hogue rubber stock, but as my shooting partner will varify, he also has the beech stock model, there is'nt many foxes we have missed out to 200yds and none inside a 100yds, shooting an average of 5 a month, it will do for what we use it for. PS: we do load our own rounds, but the hornady 40 grain v max factory loads i can well recommend!
  6. I travel 60 miles+, plus traveling around the various farms totals 138-145 miles all together, most weekends with my shooting partner, and have done so for about 25 years.
  7. I have tried most of the sierra range in bullets finding the 55grain blitz kings the best on fox loaded with 25 grain of hodgdons H335. Have only tried the ppu in bought ammo using the cases for reloading and they do a good job but the groupings vary. I hope this of use to you.
  8. I have had one for nearly two years, its a standard with a hogue stock, my shooting partner has one with the walnut stock, does all what i bought it for, thats foxing. Shoots great groups especially with home loads, a great gun for the money, nothing special but gets the job done.
  9. Never had one jam! only problem, i try to get too many cartridges in the magazine which jams the spring and the cartridges get stuck in the tube! Quick strip down job to release.
  10. Only problem i had is the spring clip shown, which was changed under warranty. Mine is the exact same gun and i have had for approx 7 years.
  11. I bought mine from midway uk a few years ago, i dont know the current prices but if you have the internet or ask a question on this site you might get some answers. Mine was the lee anniversary set, nothing special but does what i want.
  12. Excellent news! I tell you what spanielman, you will have great fun with both calibres, especially the hornet. If you get around to reloading which i do in the both calibres. The hornet is a really cracking calibre.
  13. You can try pouring boiling hot water over the silencer at the area where it is attached to the gun, theory is the silencer will expand enough to release its self.I would have said a heat torch but that may damage the silencer.Best of luck!
  14. I use about 30+ crows, nothing special about them, the pattern is always important but the hide is number 1. always leave spaces in the decoys for them to land into and add the shot birds to increase the size of the pattern.I always use a call because this sometimes turns the birds into the pattern plus a battery operated flapper because you need movement to bring them in from distance. Myself and Lewdan usually account for around a 1000 birds a season which starts from spring planting to stubble in October. Hope this helps.
