  1. No need to alologise Jai. Entitled to your opinion mate. Agree with most of your last post. As Roxy said I'm not sure what would happen if there was a repeal. I would like to think alot of the muppets are just in it for a buzz and would leave the sport once certain things are made legal. Interesting point roxy. Gaz.
  2. Ozzie Owl - Bet you have got some memories from that week. Sounds like heaven. I love Scotland :-)
  3. My pup gets porridge a few times a week for breakfast. Cooked in microwave with goats milk. As an alternative to rice pudding or scrambled eggs.
  4. Ideation - What's my point? My point is exactly what Roxy picked up on... The article states that ordinary working folk should not own hunting dogs. I am an ordinary working bloke. My dog will get worked regularly. The article may in fact mean that hunting dogs should not be kept as non-working pets, but it doesnt say that, i disagree with this though aswell. I could have a working bred lurcher and not work it, it sure as hell wouldn't be running around the countryside killing sheep. Also what you say about there being alot of pricks in our game, yes I'm sure there are. But surely
  5. All of the bullshit comments were in inverted commers and were only the views of the woman who's sheep it was so I doubt paper would be bothered. They would say it's just her opinion. But you can imagine half of the dosy b*****ds who read that now, "ooh those nasty hunting dogs killing sheep"... Even my mother asked if mine will be like that and go round killing sheep and continued to say that I need to watch my dog around my little girl...
  6. I read an Article last night in my local news paper and a "hunting type dog" had attacked and killed a Jacobs sheep in a flock of 17 traumatising 2 more which may still die. The article continued to say that "normal working people should not purchase and own hunting dogs". Now I'm sorry about the sheep but thats a stupid comment. There's a good chance the dog was stray or someones pet got off the lead. Any "hunting men" I know stock break there dogs and teach them recall etc so that this doesn't happen. Which in my eyes makes us better dog owners than alot of the public. Surely?
  7. I'm using iPhone mate and don't get to see second line of title. Cheers.
  8. Ive got a pup of this breeding now. Both parents are spot on so hoping he turns out good. That's a nice bitch real tree.
  9. Awesome. He had a dodgy stomach and the squits when I first put him on raw. Too much too soon. But he is settling into it now. He gets breast of lamb most evenings and either lamb mince, chicken mince, rabbit mince, various offal, tripe, beef offcuts and fat from butchers, tinned fish, eggs, cooked beef stew at lunch and 1 meal of Redmills biscuits with weetabix and goats milk or rice pudding for breakfast. So he gets massive variety. I want to introduce more bone but worry about choking. The breast of lamb is a fairly safe one and they are quite soft. Cheers, Gaz.
  10. As above, where from and to? How much are you looking to pay? Gaz.
  11. My missus came home with a bag of freh sprats today from supermarket. Carrier bag full for £3.00. They are dirt cheap. I haven't had chance to look at them yet as I was leaving for work as she got it but do you think they will be okay for the pup? I'm guessing the bones will be tiny, just worried that small fish bone might get stuck on the way down? He has breast of lamb regular but I have to give him massive pieces so he chews it other wise its down in one :-D Gaz.
  12. I asked a similar question the other day mate. Got told that 5 mins per day for each month of age is a good guideline. So 4 month - 20 mins. But I guess every pup is different. Gaz
  13. Sorry to hear that mate. I suppose you've gotta look at the positives, it was instant and he wouldn't of known about it. And you've got the pup to concentrate on. Gutted for you. I dread the same happening to me.
  14. I'm a big fan of saluki/greys. Got Saluki/whip/grey myself and I like the idea of adding some collie blood. Sounds like a good dog mate.
  15. This is very interesting. The bloke I had my pup off has kept tabs on most, I think we know of at least 4 locally. But the sire and dam aren't worlds apart so not the best of circumstances for what is being discussed here. I suppose the fact that some litters throw smooth and some throw rough is a good indicator that genetics vary alot in one litter. And surely if they vary in looks then they can vary in other areas? Prey drive, intelligence, stamina? Etc. Gaz
  16. Enjoyed reading that mate. Nice one. What breeding is that bitch? She's a cracker.
  17. Okay thanks for the advice. Kenneling him isn't really an option at the minute, materials, space, money or time. He will have to have the run of the kitchen and wreck the cupboards :-D Missus will love him. Lol.
  18. Thanks for replys. Skycat - I see what your saying. I've been increasing time out of crate from day 1. My ultimate aim is to have the pup sleeping and feeding in the crate with the door open to come and go as he sees fit. He has already started behaving better in the house and last night he went in the crate for his tea with door open and then he spent most of the night running in and out of it playing. Once he is past being destructive he can have the run of the house downstairs. The crate was purely to keep him safe when we aren't there and stop him chewing everythin

  20. Lady roselle. I can listen to them on that link but how do you download? Cheers Gaz
  21. Lovely pup mate. How is the sire bred? And what's the Dam?
  22. They sound very useful to me. Wouldn't mind looking into this cross one day. Cheers for replies, Gaz
