Hi Folks, time for insurance renewal. BASC, SACS or CA??? Have been with BASC for years but now the prices are climbing, so who do you recommend? Cheers Dave

  4. No idea, shoot near enough every 2nd night, mainly the HMR, .22 just gathers dust now, a rough estimate I'd say about 15-30 shots when I'm out. Went to the shop today, it was between a Sak (£40) or a wildcat(£125), me, being a tight git went for the SAK.

  6. Well, it finally happened - after 6 years use of the SAK moderator, it has finally given up the ghost (on the 31st as well ) Notice that things were getting louder & when I eventually got home noticed that a few bits were falling out of it. Nice new shiney one fitted today, just need to get out & bed it in.
  7. Hi Folks, got a used but excellent condition nbc top, ideal for shooting, fishing, ferreting etc etc. Full length zip, hood, two chest pockets, size - 100cm chest. Price - £10 plus postage. Thanks for looking Dave
  8. Thanks for the info & the pic, amazing colours on that. I'm looking to do landscapes & wildlife, when, I eventually decide on what camera.
  9. Hi Folks, still at a loss what to choose, its between the Sony A350 & Canon 450D. Anyone have any experiences of both? One thing between the two is the ISO (canon) 1600, (sony) 3200 but on the other end the there is more choice of lenses for the canon. Decisions, decisions.

    Donators

Hi, was alarmed after being away for the weekend to find the forum gone. As a donator, a possible solution to this could be; give the donations to a charity. Only a suggestion, after all it was a small amount donated & if people get their knickers in a twist over that it would be interesting to see if they done the same if iot was donated. Cheers Dave
  11. Make sure the bu66ers bladders is empty when you do it. Tried a rope methos once, pulled up & you can guess what I got covered in. I can honestly say, that stuff burns, not to mention stinks. Take your time with the first one.
  12. Hi, that's quite a certificate wallet your after, especially at A5 size. Please have a look at my site regarding prices etc then get back to me. If applicable via PM or if you're happy in open forum. The journals are listed at the bottom of the gifts page. All the best Dave
  13. Hi Folks, Just added some new items to my site. Some ideal for Christmas Heres a few pics; A5 journal/dream book/book of shadows etc etc Notebook Happy hunting
  14. Hi Folks, unfortunately I didn't take a pic of the B&F case before I sent it I also do the ferret locator pouches.
  15. Hi Folks, if you want to order anything for Christmas, I'll need a minimum of 3 weeks notice plus the Chrimbo posting times. Also if you have any discreet orders required they will be handled confidentially. Thanks for looking. Happy & safe hunting
  16. Yorkshire game is offering 50p a rabbit, £1.75 a hare. Round these parts they are clamping down on "back door" sales to the restaraunts, apparently it "encourages" poaching The problem with taking rabbit in, as Alan at Rushyford will tell you, if you get a shotgunned rabbit it's no use, people like their fillings!! Try the bloke across in Coverdale, not sure what he's giving though. Alternatively you could just shoot for the pot.
  17. Nothing coming up on that shop mate, is it the correct name? Cheers Dave
  18. Absolute quality, had me in stitches :clapper: :clapper:
  19. They only have egg twice a week. The rest of the time it's kibble, or rabbit, if they get any!
  20. Bushshirt? If so, how do you rate them? Any good or utter sh1t seeing as they are made in China now????? Cheers Dave
  21. Got some leather fronted Rams, spot on, mind you, if you're short ar$ed like me I had to take them up & that proved to be a problem - they have 3 layers. If I was going to buy them again, I'd go for the non leather fronted ones, dry quicker & possibly not as heavy. Cheers Dave
  22. Personally I do NOT rate the products from Altberg. I have worn the boots professionally, having had to get boots made due to knackered achilles tendons. Interestingly I opted for non slip soles, being a mechanic, just for my safety you know. What did they do - replaced the soles with normal ones & coloured in the dot at the heel with a marker pen!! Strangely enough, while working out in Canada with them, the soles started to fall off - great, wet feet. Well, I already had wet feet because the so called breathable boot doesn't breath. The bloke has the monopoly up here &am
