    The main reason why the head gaskets go on the 2.4's is they are not shipped with any coolant. So as you can imagine, whoever picks them up from the port, boots the hell out of them to get them back & they only have water in them Then you come along, buy one, take it home & hey presto heads goosed Pajeros aren't bad, weak manual gearboxes though.

    Hi, there's no branding on it, it's antique tan which leaves the effect of dark areas. Time wise, the deer were a pain in the a took about 2 hours start to finish, everything on it is hand cut.

    As a mechanis, stay well clear, head gaskets, head gaskets, head gaskets. Land Rover released the Freebie (as it's now termed 'cos you get it free with a bag of crisps!) with over 58 known problems. Absolute crap, you cant even sell the spares! If you definately want a Land Rover, go for a proper one - Defender, sound, robust, if you bend it/break it/smash it - replace it! Just my two penneth mind, being an ex disco owner, now having a 90 that I converted to 200tdi.
