  2. crossing a bull into a working earthdog line is usualy done to put some heart back into a line and if you need to do that maybe its the wrong line for you if they have lost heart i find the first crosses to be a bit big and bulky and lack in the nose department they can be handy at the end for drawing or sometimes when in a big spot and they just bump into the stuff have seen some russel cross bullls used in ireland but did lack nose crossed again to produce a 3-4 threw some decent pups a lot of working earthdog lines have got bull in there but this usualy goes back a fair way and the emphasiz

  7. most definity but will gain in the nose department plenty of russels about with out big heads being dug week in week out i would be more concerned about the size of their heart bull blood should only be introduced to put drive and heart back in and not size and shape sometimes come up to big essepialy for tight earths got to remember what the dog is their for work not looks

  12. police can enter with warrant rspca cannot they are a charity with no powers the police can request that you let the rspca man accompany them which they normaly do it is your call wheather you let them in are not but as someone said earlier if you have nothing to hide why worry let them in once they see the dogs they will leave you alone also make a point of telling them they have no powers and on this one occassion you will let them in but not to bother you in the future without good reason

  16. all day time with the terriers
  17. springer x terrier or springer xbeagle that will make some noise and cuts out the chance of a pure terrier going to ground somewhere were it would be hard to get to you will need a few lads with lurchers or guns to surround such a big bit of cover so you dont miss to many dont burn good holding cover hard enough to find
  18. personly i would go for longer in the leg esspecialy if you intend to do a lot of bushing they will last longer than a short legged one if you are giving them a full days bushing
  19. if you are only starting of at terriers get youself a russell easy to start and easier to handle than most others the patts lakelands and fells can be a bit of a handful for the unexperienced
  20. one of the best things i have seen is a dead fox proped up like it is just sitting there they will start of by mobbing it conceal yourself in close cover they normallythen settle in the cover still alarmed and can then offer some good shoots also works well with crows dead fox easy enough to find as roadkill if you dont hunt them
