  1. Lol. No hutch. No traps went down that day or the day after for that matter. I managed about a week before the second deluge of white shit landed. I have not even given it a second thought just yet about venturing up there. Lol crampons and ice picks. I am so far behind at the moment. It's only been the past couple of days I have managed to get some traps down and harrowing done. But aye it's grand up there on a clear day. Atb
  2. I am very surprised that the duke failed. I ordered a few from the states and the springs are bloody powerful. More so than the fore mentioned.
  3. Some valid points there heritage. But although drop boxes, night vision and poisons are available for use, they don't make up the complete "kit" if you like. There are always going to be instances where traps are the only viable option. And a much preferred method of control for some. Trapping needs to be thrown into the spotlight and promoted for these reasons, otherwise in this country we will sadly loose it. As with most things it's a generational thing. More so with mine and younger generations. If gasses and poisons are seen as the future, then that's what it will become. Traditio
  4. Is a fly press not a little heavy handed for thin plate? Simple punch stamps used with hardwood work well. A touch of galfroid over the stamped area will stop corrosion but you will have to weather the trap for a while to rid the smell of solvent. A punch set of either numbers or letters only cost around a tenner a set. Drilling a series of holes into the plate in a pattern could be an option. But again you would need to treat to avoid rusting.
  5. That sounds a bit kinky Andy. Lol
  6. Duffus for me too. If you come across a junction, just replace the turf and find another run.
  7. Lol. Apologies. Just keep your finger off that button........... Once you find it!!
  8. Careful logun. I think matts grooming you. I would do one sharpish before he lubes his crusty suit up.
  9. I think he should be reinstated. His arse will fall out when he finds his nemesis a mod. Lol

  11. Darcy must have been full of empty threats................. Or his mod spandex wasn't clean
  12. Ok it's past 12 now. April fools joke over. Lol. Atb
  13. One thing you have to consider when using wood is the change in temperature and moisture levels as wood will expand and contract. Think about the tolerances involved. Especially the bore. Good luck
  14. It will say on the battery. Either 12v 6ah or 6v 4ah. Or something along those lines.
  15. I've cut loads of these with a 12" disc cutter, nice and easy of you take your time thats just savage!! Have you no finesse you animal To add. It won't make an iota of difference what it had in. You won't create enough heat within to cause it to combust whilst cutting. Unless it was toxic waste. Then you may melt or grow an extra leg. Chap burnt to death last year when his disc cutter ignited fumes inside the drum. I have seen instances where drums have gone boom. There is a poor unfortunate soul using an oxy/acetylene torch on the hse website. We have cut up tons of barrels which hav
  16. Aye. You are probably all right. I don't know where my earlier post came from. Serious blonde moment or the Easter bunny has filled my head with jelly beans. 12 acre went for 95k last year, just by us.
  17. Thirty grand plus. Probably more around the fifty mark
  18. Lol. You three legged big head. Or is it a three headed big leg!!!

  20. A grinder and 1 mm slitting discs will give you a better cut than a 12" stihl
  21. Easy as pie mate. Just make sure you burn it off before cooking your ribs
  22. Of which can be expected. Especially when you start whittling your way through the tin and they become looser. Does the tin have " fragile. Handle with care " stamped on it. Lol.
  23. Seems a lot of fannying around for a premium priced product. You want it right from the off. AA need telling. 10-20 percent is no good. Your right about the thin skirts. Lol. They may have to bubble wrap each individual pellet.
