  1. Apply the same principles for "tweaking" any sub 12 air rifle to FAC. (Ok springers can be a little more temperamental). As for prechrged. Specific port sizes. Increased spring pressures. The advent and use of modified titanium valve stems. Regulators etc etc. Once these parts are set up you have a consistent output of air!! Shite parts. Crap barrels and inferior pellets. Or set up wrong and things are not going to work. There's no super rifle. All will perform equally well and as most of the time it's the person pulling the trigger that becomes the fault. Not having a pop but pl
  2. I thaught same too set it up and leave it I think. If you want less power use a different gun. I think some people are being "sold" by salesmen and magazines
  3. All this turning up and down of power like it's a radio dial. Can someone please let me know how you get along with consistently? And could someone also explain why a gun would perform better at FAC than sub 12?
  4. Aye. Blink and you could soon miss them
  5. So then find someone local and get a bit of mentoring
  6. Nothing wrong with the hmr. It's a good little round and has its uses. Particularly on land I shoot. IMO.Again as for the advice your asking. Donny has nailed it again with his last comment. Mine run between 28 and 32 in .22 and fill the bag just fine without having to charge every 2 mins. If you shoot from a motor or don't require the high shot count then go with whatever floats your boat and is comfy to shoot. Oh they certainly work, until a rabbit farts and blows that horrid little bullet all over the shop, I would have a .22WMR anyday over an hmr, and you can have it semi auto too Th

  8. Due to the joints on the intercooler being pressed and not welded. In turn causing an indifference in pressure and causing the turbo seals to fail. Not disputing the boost sensor pal. Hence the oil collecting can intercooler joints were just crimped onto an o ring, same as most are using now, when they started failing the cost of a new one was about £300, we got a percentage of that as a handling charge from warranty, when they realised how many we were changing in warranty the price dropped to about the £50 mark, then they looked into why they were failing and found out about the overboost

  10. dont.. vm don't like me both put last post up at the same time! only reason i know about the fx's is cos I've been chewing over the fac thing for a while now and i don't want to spend a load on something pap! atb si Apologies Si Donny made the point on an earlier post. Get a rapid As for an FX on FAC I can't see the money in them. As soon as they are on ticket they devalue.
  11. I will leave you in Si's capable hands ^^
  12. Generally yes unless you come across a sub 12 bargain. The other thing is if you ever come to sell it on. There's a limited market for FAC Air.
  13. Yes Si , I have been told that these are a very good FAC gun there is a sh1t hot one on freeads at the moment for£850 with walnut stock, never seen one come up till today!check out the add, its impressive.. its only a sub 12 but they can be tuned to fac easily later And you will loose about 500 rags in the process
  14. As above. I would avoid the bullpup type. Unless your going to wear ear defenders
  15. No. it's located on the air intake. 2 small screws and a plug. Take it out and give it a clean. Also check your airbox isn't full of oil. Xtrails are famed for the seams on the intercooler splitting which causes the turbo to fail.
  16. It's diesel. Yea gonna get it serviced see if that helps. Just no real power at all out of her Maf sensor
  17. Probably some Fred in the shed nobody. Probably several being doing it for years You just haven't come across them yet
