I read it ,front cover was the heads of the boy and the cheetah pointing in the same direction , I was fanatical about mythology when i was about 9 or 10 and I loved stories of the greek gods and stuff ,my teacher at the time gave me 2 old books Homers the iliad and the odyssey , I read them over and over again even though I was to young to really appreciate them , still got them in my mums house brilliant . just found it on google .... smiler the lad was known as , 1972 it was released but i must off read it late 70s , there was 2 follow ons so im buyin the 3 off them , see if i can reli

No stick from me Matt... Some of Plummers early books, are a bloody good read.. his novels are yet to be bettered , in my opinion Nathan is BRILLIANT, Trog and Lepus are also really good reading.

book called "The Run Aways" .... about a lad runs away from detention centre (i think , memory not as it was lol) and a cheetah who has escaped from local wild life centre , based in the english countryside , the lad gets involved with an old poacher and the cheetah is entwined in his adventures , my discription sounds terrible but it was rivertin when i was a kid, anyone else read this book .

Get it on face book , and put an address up here or an email address where people off here and face book can write or email the people behind this DISGRACEFUL DECISION , I really hope the little mans family can get some comfort from the fact the general public will be right behind them on this and people will see these HEARTLESS people for what they are , This family have obviously been through enough , and these are so called PILLARS OF SOCIETY :wallbash:makin these TERRIBLE DECISIONS.

If im not wrong Jennings scored when he played for Spurs.....the olduns always used to talk about Bert Trautman,Jack Kelsey......worldwide i supposed Dino Zoff and Sepp Mayer have to be up there.....or the german who nearly decapitated the french lad,i forget his name now,looked like a german porn star ! Lev Yashins a good call the ol fella used to talk about him,played ice hockey before becoming a keeper apparently. Harold Schumacher and i think it was bastistis he nearly decapitated .

Dont forget our Phil Parkes in there ....and i suppose Pat Jennings,Neville Southall,Corrigan etc werent too shabby either. The best Keepers ive seen must be Schmichael Shilton and Southall , who for a couple off seasons at Everton was out off this world ...... the initial S is an omen for great keepers,Seaman as well .... just thought off somethin to rubbish my last statement SCOTTISH GOALKEEPERS

Thats your opinion and your entitled to it.....without doubt he must have been a pain in the arse to play against,but he wasnt a footballer just merely a stopper.....id even put David O Leary above Keown and he certainly wouldnt stand a chance in an Arsenal team today.....he was nowhere near the complete player the likes of Terry,Ferdinand,Vidic are....and no real threat up the other end like todays centre halfs are. Wouldnt agree with your thoughts about Terry either.....like many other players his better days are probably behind him simple as that regardless of Carvalho Thats my point G
