109g was her record, this is just 1g short at 108g!!! I marvel at the size of these every time I get one, fasinating! Eye watering! ... but tasty

Well, hows the snapping going for the photography comp??
Tis TM replied to Tis TM's topic in Wildlife and General Photography
Not in my case , I don't like competitions to be honest....................anyway stop whinein .......... I dont like competitions, yeah yeah, Na seriously, it isn't me, I love taking pics and to share them, but I am no photographer. I could never go with the sole intention of trying to get the ultimate shot . If I see something it's click and if it's worked, then fine but I am just not competitive any more, used to be in sport...........then I grew up after realising I wasn't going to the Olympics or become World Rally Champion Get out and take your own pics, sod -
It does look fairly healthy yeah, but its hard to see from the pic if its raised or not... The only thing I would say is that mucus from the nose carries alot of bacteria, so if the dogs nose has been running over an open wound big or small, it could create a bit of an infection... Just keep an eye on it for changes, and keep up with the the regular bathing. (I'd probably cut out the TCP and just use salt water) Also, the dog can lick alot in that area, so it might be irritating it itself.....

What about that stuff that comes in those plastic sausage things, "Meat" suposedly  I remeber my nan giving it to the dogs, slicing rings of this greyish, wet, reformed excuse for for dog food with a knife *retch* Cant for the life of me remember what it was called.... Reebox, or Weebox??...
-
Off but I haven't needed to use the thing yet, so that might change lol

I have to say all of my stuff goes to the dogs raw. Saying that I have only been doing it for a year now. Even feed the dogs raw shark............................ All the best, Rabbiteer Thanks Shot, and Rabbiteer, I would preffer to feed it raw, purley because I do enough cooking in a day, let alone doing it for the dogs too!! Excellent post btw Rabbiteer

Interesting read!! thankyou...... I remember doing all sorts of things with tadpoles and spawn when I was a kid, keeping them in ice cream tubs for a few days too watch............................ I even put a lump of spawn in my mouth for a dare once.... Bit like cold tapioca  (I've grown out of doing silly dares now!)

Just asking again, do you cook the minced chicken or feed it raw?
-
Sorry to ask probably a REALLY dumb question, but do you cook the minced chicken down or feed it raw?

Facinating stuff Now, I heard from a friend a couple of nights ago, that it is illeagle to move frog spawn! I never knew that... is that correct? My kids have come home from school for the last 3 years saying they have it in a tank in the classrooms, and they do projects on the cycles of the tadpole..... so I was a little bemused I'd never move it as I think generally frogs know the best place for thier littluns!!....but can anyone enlighten further???? (sorry to go off on a tangent to your thread theobenmike!)

Firstly Blue, If you're allowed to ring pigs noses over there, do it, it will make your choice of fencing alot easier. They wont dig half so much or trash "nice looking" fencing. It depends on how big an area you have to fence her in, as to weather she's gonna want to escape or not, which in turn will determine the sort of fencing you should use. If I was you, I'd post and rail for purley aesthetic reasons, but then back that up subtley with a run or two of plain electric wire about 8 inches off the ground and then 16 inches, then raise it a bit as the girl gets bigger. You usually find that

AG - Here's a couple of other pics I have to hand, I hope they help. One of her whirls is slightly bigger than the other...
-
Thankyou patt, I will do! AG - Her sire is Wamirembe Bemvaba at Mandanna, and Dam is Kiss me First. I'll see if I've got a better pic of her ridge in a sec, if not, I'll take another picture later on today Longdogrunner - We have her as a guard dog yes, but also she's a family pet. I have 4 kiddies, (two are babies) and she brilliant nature with them (although doesn't realise how big she is, and tends to bowl them over) She is kept outside mostly, and free runs our small holding, and lets you know if there is someone walking up the road, let alone near our gate, she is a top dog. .... over the rainbow...... I snapped this whilst out in the car, but the bloomin thing was dissapearing by the second, so by the time I'd pulled up somewhere it was nearly gone, you can just see the remenants of the second rainbow to the right of it.

I have a bitch I'd like to line - next season could be 1 -2 months time. We did have a gorgeous dog sorted out locally, but they unexpectedly had to have him castrated due to behaviour (nothing vicious, just serious wander lust!) My bitch is 2 1/2, seriously lovely temperament, and built like a brick ........ Posing pic Her ridge is 98% perfect, and she is KC reg, with full bloodlines. I'm in Cornwall, but would be prepared to travel a little way to the stud dog if required. Any nice RB boys out there???
