As above mate you don't need a locater,I have found that older jills have a tendency to kill and stay more than young jills.Yes feed before you take them out. Good hunting mate. P1

I'm sure you are right mate but only had to clip a nail once in 50 odd years and that was cause one broke. When a good ferret comes across a rabbit in a block end it claws become blocked with fur very quickly if they are short so can't get over its back to turn it to make it bolt. I can't help but wonder who clips a Fox's or stoats nails ? P1

Thanks mate just the phone and I'm sure a 7 year old could use it better.I must admit I do have a very soft spot for that dog,hard as nails as most beddies are but very gentle with the bunnies. Thanks all P1

Went out today with dog and 2 of this years kits and 1 old timer. There was a good 100 holes in an old garden I had to do.It took 25 mins to set 100yds round 3 sides & 1x25yds on the other side 2x25yds ( all quick sets) dividing the bury into 3 sections all under some big trees. The sun was out with a nice gentle breeze a beautiful day.The dog and ferrets worked well I sweated buckets. 1/2 An hour later I had 10 rabbits. It took 1 and a 1/2 hours to lift the nets with all the leaves an crap in them But what a great day I can only hope for many more like it. I have put the box ne

Why not make a small cage out of your wire stick a cat in and see if it can get out. Cats do vary in size and make sure you don't hurt the cat.

Do you actually live in the real world? Shooting sure as hell dont garuantee a clean kill, anybody that shoots can confirm that. Theres always occasions when shots go tits up, dodgy bullet/pellet, poor pattern etc etc. Also to make the statement that the coursed hare must be terrified and probably die of stress after shows how little you really know! The hare is a natural quarry species, natural prey.
