reaper i think lewis was getting at me. i didn't intentionally try to make it seem like they're a bad bunch on pigeonwatch forum, in fact far from it, i've had a couple of fantastic deals on pigeonwatch. the git that scammed using my pic had only joined to con someone, he had about six or seven posts only straight away he advertised my rifle for sale and had a response from this chap in holland then never logged in again once he got paid, i don't know whether the chap got his money back as he never got in touch with me again... i would have probably missed the ad as was a b

. it's smashing when a deal goes well, when things start to go wrong it can be a nightmare though some git over on pigeonwatch used a pic of one of my rifles to scam a good guy in holland out of £170+ postage costs i hope the tawt gets drunk with the money and chokes on vomet in his sleep the low-life well done to the pair of you john

i think that was just a figure of speech, it looks like his ferret is going to dine on it john...

here's a little dead goldcrest, went down the garden and it was sat just like this, could've sworn it was alive but alas not... our puddy tat smokey, a norwegian forest cat (and a big ole bugger!) it looked as though someone had put lipstick on this one! (he was licking his lips ) my old (1960) hofner president.. some of my bonsai trees... john

now some springers... diana 52, .22cal gamo stutzen, .22 hw80, .177 in venom vantage stock, not sure as to whether it's been venom tuned, i'll have to look inside to check left handed but is very comfy for r/h shooting... 'nuther l/h hw80, this time .22, i polished off the near non-existant blueing giving it a blingy finish- not much good for stalking (have a r/h stock coming for this one) my latest (and as yet not hunted with!) trio. top- QB-78 (Co2 gun, not a springer ) middle- HW95 bottom- HW35 all .22cal i have more but will post at

a little few of my fave set-ups.... mk1 daystate huntsman, .177 (bloody heavy to carry though!) a sporter version of the above (same cal and just as flippin' heavy ) career 707 mk2 in .22cal... leaky logun s-16, .22cal... (one of my special faves) gunpower stealth, .22cal... springers next... john....

deffo an early lion there was a sidelever rifle out at the same time that had no safety ratchet to stop the bear trap effect, i'm not certain whether these have one or not so when you cock the rifle, please keep hold of the cocking lever as if it doesn't have the safety it could cost you some fingers as for a scope rail, these weren't designed to take a scope and it would possibly take an engineer to mark out the cylinder, drill and tap it and screw a dovetailed piece of steel on it would probably be a bit of a job to do john

a few more... recently acquired beesa airsporter mk1 in .22cal, this rifle came with a nice (but un-named) 3/9x40 scope with illuminated reticule which was mounted on a home made scope rail, whoever made the rail did a sound job but it left mounting holes in the stock and trigger block a late model webley mk3 in .177cal.. another recently acquired rifle, a weihrauch mod35k in .22cal with another (i think!) simmons scope john

hyperion, you have to use an image host such as photobucket or imageshack, or i think you can put a link to pics on your 'puter (not too sure about that though ) john

s'more .177 daystate huntsman sporter, this one had a lousy plate single stage trigger with no feel for the let-off at all so when i acquired my second one, i stripped and duplicated the two stage trigger 'nuther huntsman, .177 target model .22 stealth with bushnell banner 3/9x40 scope (i think this is my fave of all!!) career 707, .22 simmons scope logun s-16 in .22 flavour think the scope's an AGS original mod50, .177 and simmons 3/9x40 .20cal sheridan silver streak, can't remember what the scope is.... i have a few more combo's and rifles/pistol
-
some of mine.... sharps ace, .177 i bought this new about twelve years ago, one of the last batch to be brought into the country, scope is 4x32 (i think) .22 diana 52 with 3/9x50 hawk scope gamo stutzen, .22 with 3/9x40 simmons scope l/h weihrauch hw80 in .22 with a strange little chinese scope that is crystal clear another with a 4x32 asi scope, again a left hooker but with venom vantage stock and .177cal original mod45 .177cal and simmons 3/9x40scope webley hawk mk1 (.177barrel only) hawk scope (can't remember which!) more in another post

hello timelord sorry, i don't know what sort of silencer it was (no adapter, push-on with grubscrew) it came s/h with the rifle but it was very effective regards, john
-
nice piece of kit timelord i had one and had some hammer springs made to up the power slightly but i swapped the rifle for an original mod50 before i fitted one, it was a young lad that was really struggling to hold the original up, i had a word with his dad and he was up for it, his dad sent me some pics of the lad stalking wabbits with it, apparently he's had a fair few kills this used to be mine... but swapped for this..... john

Experienced my first air rifle accident yesterday
johnbaz replied to DevonHunter's topic in Airgun Hunting
as a youngster of about eight years, my grandad bought me a .177 webley junior rifle, and as a youngster of about eight years, i had no sense of danger. i had left the rifle loaded with one of those red plastic re-useable pellets that could be bought about fourty years ago, anyhow, my dad was raking out the ashes to make a fire that morning, i picked up the little rifle, took aim at his arse, squeezed the trigger (obviously not knowing that i'd left it loaded )well- talk about scream- he nearly went up the chimney he turned around and slapped me with the flat of his hand and he lifted
