  1. Thanks, woz. It's not the mounts, it's the way the gun recoils that's causing me grief. They can be very sensative to weight or ballance changes. Cheers for the reply, mate. sorry mate i wrote that one badly........cluson do a light mount that bolts to your scope....its about the best system....some of the bigger centre fire rifles we use have a fair bit of recoil.....alot more than a springer......if you are saying by fitting a lamp to your sight is knocking it out then your mounts that actually hold the scope to the rifle arnt upto the job.......

  12. getting permission is a real up hill battle, for every yes you will get 100 no's........get out there and knock door's....dont get disheartened..YOU WILL REPEATEDLY GET TOLD NO AND PISS OFF..........then one day someone will say yes.tell you there rules and requirements and what they want shooting.if you are good and cause no trouble word will get around and you will start getting more a more untill you are saying "no i have enough thank you"...i moved to a new area years ago and it was so bloody hard even getting ferreting permission never mind the freedom to rome at night.......good luck
  13. i have a use both brands of lamp.......the cluson has by far the best build quality and is far more handy to keep concealed...the beam is wider than any of the liteforce range the lightforce beam is by far the tightest i have used..the quality of the lamp is bloody awfull.the wireing and switch are unbelevably terrible...... if you are just running your dog in smal to medium sized fields you wont go far wrong with the cluson.cb2..... for larger fields and the odd 150 yard fox with the rifle i use a light force 140 with dimmer if im lamping from a vehicle i always use a light fo

  17. i have been on a farming forum, after reading a few posts i came accross this story....i was saddened to read the veiws of the farmers..i must say im not to strong with my grammer so i got hammered when i tried to reply and explain there is a diference between taking a few rabbits and organised mass pheasent poaching..they see no diference.......... 23-03-2009, 10:14 #1 chalky Junior Member Join Date: Oct 2008 Location: North Lincs Posts: 25 ''poacher'' killed Saturday night -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A man w

  19. it is easy to do yourself IF you have a lathe.....i cut mine and use a tap pushed upto the headstock to get a level thread for the moderator then cut the crown.....i have done my hmr at 16" and my 22lr as stated.i couldnt get my 22 any shorter because of the way i do them on the lathe.....you dont have to have them proofed as long as you only sell the rifle to a dealer when you want rid... i would get it done by a good gun smith you are messing about with a thing that has to handle a massive amout of pressure... the crown and thread needs to be fairly good aswell...... for the sake of £9
  20. 22lr on subs all the powder is burnt at 9".......i bought a cz452 plastic stock with a long barrel..iv had it for years.iv used it as a range rifle and to hunt..we were lamping out of a vihicle a few weeks ago and i got sick of the length of the dam thing,so i stuck it in the lathe and chopped it to 14" i have just got back from the range tonight.and it shoots just the same as it ever did at 50m same groups no diference at all.................. the only problem i have had is that i used to use a small plastic silencer and it would shoot with it after the chop...i have fitted a sac
