N/V Waste of time? or a must buy?
woz replied to saxosportsaxo's topic in Reloading and Gun Maintenance
night vision is exellent...for watching fox's as they come in its second to none...........now for the bad news.....only consider gen 3 everything else isnt worth a w*nk!!!!!! also if you use it alot on the same eye it will f*ck your vision......spend £1000 or dont bother...the diference from gen 3 to everything else is vast!!!! you have been warned -
iv heard he likes a bit of bum fun too!!!!!! his collar's are great though...the mrs is still chained to the kitchen sink and loving it
-
you'll need a mod or atleast a muzzle break.....they are bloody horrible to shoot and try to see a sight focus when youve pulled the trigger.....
-
you fackin prick ......sorry to say mate i have the following vehicles..1998 discovery...2002 110 double cab...rs turbo and a new m3..no feckin transit..i travelled for many years.my family are gypsies..i made my money from dealing and buying and selling land for development so gorjer pricks like you have house's to live in..I HAVE NO CRIMINAL RECORD FOR THEFT!!!!.. so you live in a house and hunt?? you on the dole?? smoke dope and fiddle with kids?? keep your racist statements to your feckin self..... sorry to hear about these dogs gettin stolen hope you find them and string them up
-

About 80yds for the 22 and 150yds-200yds with the HMR. Both will kill at longer ranges but accuracy drops off quite quickly. I would stick to ranges at which you are confident you can shoot reasonable groups. completey agree with these ranges....night time shooting is reduced even further, stuff always looks further away at night
-
good stuff mate sounds like you know your stuff. knew there would be someone on ere with one that does them. cheers anyone any pics? mate if i posted a pic of our collie i'd get laughed off thl!!! he's a smallish black n white farm collie.brought up with cats and is fine with pritty anything but people, fox and rats.........iv never actively hunted with him apart from the odd ratting session,he runs free at night and is generally very collie ish
-
farm collies have a natural hatered toward fox's...hancock used chuck arrowsmiths collie for the first collie grey x's...the collie stud took rabbit on the lamp and did fox's for fun...mr arrow smith still has and uses collies as gaurds and hunting dogs........................ over the years collies have taken more fox than any other breed but most of the time without any input from humans as most farm collies run free at night .....im sur all the feck heads on hear will say im talkin shite but as far as im concerned the collie killing fox thing is true as iv seen it many times.infact i ha

no not yet, there is talk of them coming soon.....i have a couple that i made out of alloy but they would be to expensive to do a small production run so i havnt bothered pushing them
-
i wont have my dogs jumping it....i was out last week with my pup and she ran a rabbit and missed it,i turned the lamp off and she picked another up on her way back.she ran it in the dark for a good 100 yrds and hit a four strand fence flat out.heard her yelp as the wire went tight i put the lamp on to see her limping back to us.she was very lucky and only needed a stitch in her foot....i hope the penny has dropped with her and she has learned not to chase without the lamp.....hope ya dog gets better soon mate
-
weve got pure black rabbits up our way and the odd white not albino's....i was on some ground with some other lads when they shot this wild rabbit..i personally would of left it to breed up so there was somthing different..the lads i was with said a rabbits a rabbit and they were there to do a job..pest control...

with your liecence as it is you can shoot land deamed fit by the chief constible..this means when you get a new farm to shoot on ,you ring your fao and give him the address he will have a look on his computer and see if the land has already been passed and for what calibre....if it hasnt been passed he will have to go and have a look to see if its suitable for your perticualer calibre..when you have an "open ticket" its all on your toes to decide weather its safe to shoot or not.....taking in consideration public access, foot paths, back stops, house's etc etc..........hope this helps
-
has to be the net loft every time......very helpful, best quality and decent prices...
-
you can get a winch called a terfer winch basically a wire rope (length is your choice) and a box with a handle, hook it up and move the handle back and forth, they will dead pull 3 1/2 tons....this would be cheaper than a bolt on vehicle winch......i find the way of not getting stuck is to run the vehicle in normal drive and when you start getting stuck, select dif lock and back out the way youve come.......
-
good luck mate get well soon.......
-
landrover discovery or range rover?????? i personaly prefer a td5 discovery as a hunting vehicle..my mrs has a 110 double cab.it has air con, heated front screen, heated leather seats, electric windows, central locking, air locker's uncomfortable????? maybe a 1990 110 maybe uncomfy but please post some pics of somthing jap and twenty years old??? oh you wont be able will you they've all rotted away
-
and on a brighter note just think of all those fluffy bunnies and icle deers that have servived to be hunted another day......bet there over the moon with that result
-
dogs fight thats life, terriers are little feckers................the thing that would worry me was the risk to your daughter.....if she was picking the terrier up when the staff bit it could of been alot worse...my mrs lost a finger last year through dogs fighting in the strret......
-
THE BEST WINCH YOU CAN GET ON THE FRONT OF A L200 IS CALLED A LANDROVER!!!! .............EITHER SELL IT AND GET A LANDY OR GET VERY USED TO GETTING STUCK!!!!!!
-
do you think they'd let the five year sentance for the hand gun run concurrent with the five years you'd get for the badger in the uk????
-
total waste of time . a dog that is 110% will do the job where ever it is.i have loaned dogs an lent dogs out an they have never shyed away. i dont agree at all........my old dog took 3 years before he'd even ignoledge my mrs and my pup wont run for anyone else..if im not there she piss's off........also whats a 110% dog for me isnt 110% for some one else...........as pointed out by socks there feckin dogs not machines.........if your any were near shropshire i'll take you out for a night the first half i'll run my dog so you can see she does whats she's meant to the other half i'll go
-
youre the only one who has even mentioned them...and why cant it be a bull x? maybe not 1st x or even 3/4 but some bull to give it a bit more drive? right then lads hear goes....feckin beddy x's are shite..wouldnt give one kennal space...pig headed yappy arogent bloody things.hard to train, love to hunt up..iv seen two in 20 years that were anywere near any good.................................. bull x's........the perfect dog to walk round a council estate to look well ard..and set your badly done tattoes off perfectly!!!!!! if you aint smashing fox's (which is now illegal) ther
-
just go for a lurcher x lurcher pup.........if there parents are working ok theres a reasonable chance the pup will turn out ok.......most people are sure that a certain cross is the best for this and that blar blar blar......decided what type of dog you want.ie size colour and coat type (plenty input from the mrs ) and go for it.....
-
iv found that its somtimes lads with little expieriance slipping young dogs on daft slips that can cause it........i really cant say if i'd keep a dog that gives tounge.....i run for plesure these days so its probably not so important to me........

I looked at a friend's copy and thought what a pile of sh*t that it was, nothing new to what is already out there, save your money. Don't all jump on my back trying to defend your mate who wrote it, I am intitled to my opinion and my opinion I will give, after all this is a hunting forum where we can all air our views. [/quot how's the book a load of shite??????? the book is a step by step how to guide.its feckin brilliant..what else is availible????? crist atleast it aint some rehashed ferretting book where some nob heads hitting rabbits off the toe of his boot!!!!!
